I did everything I was supposed to do for set up. It's a great little machine however it's not making coffee! It's not making espresso! It's not making anything but noise. No water is flowing through the machine. There's no blockages. There's no tape left on there. There's no nothing and the basket that holds the grinds has no holes in it. How is water supposed to flow if there are no holes in the basket how is it supposed to get through The filter cup? This is absurd.

I've been pulling shots with this machine for a couple weeks now and I'm hooked. So hooked that I'm probably drinking too much caffeine, but that's a good problem to have.Getting started wasn't seamless. My first pulls were way too bitter, which had me wondering what I was doing wrong. Turns out I needed to dial in the grind size - went from around 10 on my grinder scale to 14 (out of 48). Took some back and forth experimenting, but once I found the sweet spot with 14.5 grams of coffee, this thing consistently makes excellent espresso.The compact footprint is real. It barely takes up any counter space, though you'll still need room for all the accessories - grinder, scale, bean storage, and the various parts that need to dry after cleaning. The cup warmer on top fits two espresso cups perfectly.I was skeptical about the small water tank from the product photos, but it holds way more pulls than you'd expect. Takes forever to need refilling since espresso shots are tiny compared to regular coffee.This machine is definitely beginner-friendly, but you need to do your homework. If you're new to espresso, hit up YouTube and coffee forums to understand the variables. When your shots taste off, don't blame the machine - there are tons of factors at play, and this one doesn't even let you adjust two of them - temperature or pressure.One heads up for new buyers: if the machine won't work right out of the box, check the manual for the "Warm tip" about releasing the factory vacuum.
