It doe not have the same range as the Xtalk headsets and requires you to download the app for pairing as it is set master only from the factory but once you get the firmware update you can set it to the correct settings and pair it with your other headsets. The sound quality is great as long as you are within range, it will let you know verbally if you go out of range by the headset saying pairing lost but will pick back up once your back in range. You should be at least about 300 meters out of it as I tested from inside my office connected to a headset outdoors and I have tons of interference as well as brick walls for the signal to go trough but stiill had no problem and could hear clearly. I love that it's totally hands free, unless you would like to mute then you just fold up the microphone which is easy to do with a single hand very quickly. Great product!

The reason I purchased these Synco Headsets is the description said that the head sets, "Bluetooth Direct Connection for Calls & Music Enjoyment. XMax has been redesigned with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for quick wireless connection to your phone and SEAMLESS switching between communication and Bluetooth modes." So I guess the word seamless means walking over and telling the person your trying to talk with on the other head set to get off their phone, because the head set DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH OVER WHEN YOU TALK. The head sets only work in intercom mode or bluetooth mode not both. I talk with Synco support about this and they said that the head set do not automatically switch between modes, you have to do it manually.
