I modified the bracket to stick off to the side, only mounting to one bolt. Time will tell if one bolt secures it well enough. A center mounted camera on my old CRV would have obscured the license plate light. I don't want to give anyone a reason to pull me over.Modification included cutting just beyond camera mount bracket, painting that area to prevent rust, applying a wad of silicone on the back end and letting dry before installing. Silicone wad is to prevent scratches in case the cut end of the bracket would somehow get pushed back into the car paint. There's still a decent gap between the two, fortunately.Also recalibrated camera parking guide lines to account for being mounted off to the left.

Not wanting to drill mounting holes in the bumper coverage to mount the rear facing camera of my dashcam, I ordered one of these license plate mounts. Not going to over glorify it, it's a simple plate/bar that mounts either above or below your rear plate, allowing you to mount the camera without drilling holes into your bumper, liftgate, or tailgate.The unit does have a passage way for the camera's cord to feed back behind it, making it fairly easy to install. I'm still working on fishing the camera line behind the dumper without drilling a hole for the camera wire, which I hadn't given thought to when ordering either the mount or the dual camera dashcam.
