There’s several characters and I don’t even have a favorite because they’re all written that well. The way they all come together with the found family aspect, it’s done flawlessly. 👏🏻✨🌎 The Magic/WorldThe world of Tovagoth is unparalleled to anything I’ve ever read, even Throne of Glass! Everything is flushed out so efficiently that you’re never lost or confused while also being constantly entertained.There’s even little easter eggs and little twists that have your mind reeling/exploding.The magic is so unique and different from anything else that’s been done. The powers are tied to emotions so you unlock different abilities through intense emotions (like loss or love). How freaking cool is that!!!!🤍 LovedI had the time of my life reading book 1 and honestly, I didn’t think the series could get any better but WOW was a I wrong because this book more than exceeded any expectations I had. The Sins of Silas rocked my entire world. I don’t think another book will ever make me feel like this one did. I laughed, I cried, I was shocked, I felt literally every emotion known to man. ♾️🌟 This book was EVERYTHINNNNGGG. Oh. my. god. I knew from the very beginning this was going to be at least a 6 star read lol. It gave me everything I wanted and more. Action, romance, YEARNING, TENSION, plot twists, humor, grief, heartbreak, trauma.... It had it ALL. This book was all I could think about for the last 3 days and I never wanted it to end.And when it did.....That ending 😭When I tell you I had so much fun reading this.... It's absolutely one of my favorite books l've ever read.And yet, I'm still having such a hard time trying to piece the right words together so you understand how much I loved this book and how much you need to read this series so l'm just gonna say a bunch of my random thoughts ok😁1. The storyline takes it up 10 notches. This book picks up right where book one, The Lies of Lena, leaves off. We're taken on a journey across the continent in search of information, allies, and how they can defeat the evil that's only begun to plague their world. The storytelling and pacing of this book is immaculate. Never once was I bored or felt like things were dragged on. The plotting was also incredible. Pay attention in book 1!! There are so many clues & easter eggs for what's to come. We learn SO much more about the characters and the magic system.2. I fell in love with 3 different men in this book and I swear that never happens. I loved every single character SO much (besides a.. select few...😡). I felt like I was there and like I was a part of this story with them. These characters have so much life to them. The humor and banter was so excellently written. I feel like l've read so many books where I cringe on probably more than 1 occasion, but I NEVER once felt like that while reading this book.3. Silas, Roland, Torrin 🥰🥰😫😫😫😫4. This quote: "I haven't known happiness since you left my life, Lena. I haven't known satisfaction since that last night you were in my bed. How can't you comprehend how desperately I desire you? How, after all these years, am I still in love with you?!" ..... SOMEBODY SEDATE ME 😭😫😔💔5. The redhead FMC's are always the best. I LOVE LENA❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love the journey she's on and I know she's gonna burn the world in the next book.6. I've read very few books that can write spice this well. SO much chemistry, so incredibly natural. I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't mention the fact that the spice in this book is absolutely perfect. I'd say I'm somewhat picky when it comes to reading spice, but I tend to just go with it even if it's not my absolute favorite. But everything about these characters, the yearning, the DESIRE!!!! This is how I wish spice was written in every adult book I read. This author knows what showing and not just telling is. I can't stannnnnddd when an author fills scenes with so much telling and not enough showing us what is happening. You can feel the yearning, the want, the NEEEED between these characters. The way they spoke to one another felt so real. It didn't feel cringe or overdone in ANY capacity. The Sins of Silas by Kylie Snow completely pulled me deeper into the world of The Otacian Chronicles, and I loved every intense, emotional second of it!This book picks up after The Lies of Lena and follows Lena as she faces even darker threats, deeper betrayals, and the complicated pull of her growing bond with Silas. Secrets are uncovered, loyalties are tested, and Lena must decide who she can truly trust—all while battling the dangerous magic inside her.Lena continues to be one of my favorite heroines—strong, stubborn, and so incredibly real. Watching her navigate everything thrown her way made me feel so connected to her. And Silas… oh wow. He’s such a layered, complicated character. Getting to see more of his backstory and vulnerability just made me love him even more. His journey is emotional, raw, and so compelling.The magic in this world is so beautifully tied to the characters' emotions and pasts, and it makes everything feel even more intense and personal. I loved how every character, even the side ones like Roland and Torrin, felt important and fully realized.The emotions in this book were off the charts—there were moments that had me holding my breath, and others that completely broke my heart. Kylie Snow’s writing has a way of making you feel everything right alongside the characters, and that’s exactly what I want from a fantasy series.Overall, The Sins of Silas was a powerful, emotional, and absolutely gripping read. I am speechless - this book is incredible! I literally could not put this one down - this was a 6 star read and solidified this as an all time favourite dark romantasy series for me!! The yearning and the slow burn in this book is SO damn good. Silas and Lena are everything to me!!!! The TRAUMA these two have gone through is heartbreaking 😭I am obsessed with this entire group of characters, they are all so complex and imperfect yet they continually meet each other with compassion, empathy, and forgiveness. I loved seeing all of their relationships develop and the true found family that was formed.TSOS truly gave us everything - the plot was immersive and enthralling, the world building was fantastic, and the expansion of the magic and magical beings was so exciting! There is so much romance between so many characters and it is done SO well, there is so much YEARNING!! Also, the spice in this is top tier. There is drama, heartbreak, crazy plot twists… everything about this book is perfection to me.This story is truly unforgettable and deserves all of the hype. Go read it right now!!

OMG this was amazing. I genuinely loved everything about this book and thought it managed to outshine the first book - a feat which few accomplish.The book is much darker than its predecessor and the author masterfully - and sensitively - deals with issues like rape, abuse, torture, mutilation. There's a lot more spice in this so it's definitely not one for younger readers.The author was outstanding in so many areas but stand-out elements were:Relationships you cant help but invest in - Lena and Silas plus a cast of loveable, bed-hopping secondary charactersThe author possesses some serious world-building skills and I loved the mystical, new gods element.The plot is so interesting I found myself 🤔 about the book while I was doing other things. It is a perfect combination of gut-wrenching moments, movie style battles, beautiful found-family vibes and an all-encompassing love that transcends all boundariesFrom the stunning cover to the jaw-dropping final paragraph, this novel captivates the reader and inspires awe, tears, laughter, and a fair bit of🌶 (it's not gratuitous, mostly ha). It deserves every one of the 5 🌟 I've awarded. I cannot wait to see how this ends ( I just hope our main characters get their HEA).

This book dives even deeper into Silas’ character development, and wow—it’s cruelly insightful, raw, and downright painful to witness. But that’s the beauty of it. In this second instalment of the series, every character gets their moment to shine. And suffer. And betray. And fight. Because let’s be real, this book does not hold back.Oh, and let’s talk about that spicy scene. Ho damn. Smouldering. Unexpected. Living rent-free in my head (IYKYK). The spice level definitely notched up in this one, but so did the raw, gut-wrenching emotion. Bonds were strengthened, then absolutely obliterated, and I was not okay.We’ve got deception, next-level angst, jealousy, action, heartbreak, secrets unraveling, and enough twists and turns to make my head spin. Were the two main twists predictable? Yeah. Did that take away from the sheer epic-ness of this book? Absolutely not. Once again, I could not put it down.But here’s the kicker—I thought this was book two in a duology. I was wrong. That hefty cliffhanger? That punch-to-the-gut ending? That looming void of no confirmed release date for book three? Torture.Send help. I need book three immediately.⭐️ 4.5 stars | 🌶️ 3 spice
