I’ve been really enjoying this authentic African black soap on my normal 50+ year old skin.The net bag it comes in is such a nice touch because it helps create a lovely lather. While the soap doesn’t have the most pleasant scent, it’s more of an organic, natural aroma, it’s clear that it’s made from pure ingredients and is hand cut and handmade. I plan to keep using it and will likely purchase it again in the future. 4.5 stars, rounded to 5.

Once soap is wet it turned into mushy mess! Do not purchase!!!

It smells like African black soap but I did notice this had a few more ingredients then the one I use to buy. It cleans well and my skin wasn't dry after I got out the shower. You do get two with two mesh holders for the soap so a nice value.

First, I don't notice any fragrance, odor or any smell at all, really. Second, when the bar is moistened while in the net bag it produces A LOT OF LATHER. I didn't rinse the bag, with the bar still in it, when I left it hanging from a hook after I'd finished showering. A few hours later I happened to check it and the bar was turning to mush. The only way to avoid this would be to remove the soap from the bag after showering and let it dry on on one of those plastic pokey things from the Tollar Dree that elevates the bar above the soap dish. Seems a little fussy but I think the bar will last a whole lot longer if it dries completely between showers. The soap left my skin feeling clean but dry, but I always moisturize after washing my face and after showering anyway, so that's not a problem for me. This soap looks exotic but it performs like a rather ordinary soap. African soap made in China... Pretty packaging though.

The ad title for this soap states that it is for face and body. The pics for the ad only show and discuss this being used for the face. That is kind of irritating to me, but I wont dwell on that oversight. I have heard good things about this soap so I was happy to obtain it when it showed up in my feed. I wanted it for my body. I have a routine for facial care that I will stick with and have no need for this soap on my face anyway. Soooooo, I like this soap a lot. It does have a light smell to it – no big deal. It lathers very well and to help with that, it comes with a net pouch that is to be used as the soap, I’m told, should not be used directly on the skin. So far, I am pleased with this soap, but I have not noticed any change in my skin. I am sure this will take a bit of time and I’m still here for it since I like this soap so much. I will continue using it and will get more when needed.

This was my first experience using black soap that doesn’t dry the skin. I used this product with that worry in mind and was quickly set at ease. Unfortunately, the soap seemed to dissolve easily and only lasted through five showers. I didn’t notice it fading any marks on my body, which would have been noticeable as I was dealing with a recent scar on my forearm. The net provided was certainly meant to prevent scratching the skin with the natural ingredients and to produce a large amount of lather, and it worked well at both. However, this was fine only until the soap became too small. However, I did feel clean after using it and loved the scent it produced.

When ordering this product, I read the title, and it said face and body. When receiving the product and looking at the page, it was only talking about using it for the face. That confused me because I don't use products for my face that also go on my body. The face needs special products as far as I am concerned. I wound up just using this on my body, in the shower. I like the size of the bar. It is not overly big, as some specialty soaps are, so it was easy to use. It lathers up well. I like using it as soap, although I see no big difference in my skin at this time.
