However, upon finding out MANY prepackaged foods, supplements and other food products contain Maltodextrin as a filler I began reading ingredient labels and found this to be true. Maltodextrin is a chemically processed plant starch that contains a very high glucose index causing high blood sugar spikes and then energy/blood sugar crashes. This in turn leads to increased hunger. Although it causes blood sugar spikes it is basically flavorless and not sweet. It also has been shown in some studies that it may negatively affect gut bacteria, potentially contributing to intestinal inflammation or digestive issues. I was amazed at how many products contain this bad additive! Products my husband and I were regularly consuming. I had been purchasing stevia in a large bag, Stevia in the Raw. I recently read the ingredients label again and it now contains Maltodextrin. I had been wondering why I was having to use 2 1/2 Tablespoons of it to sweeten 1 cup of tea (16 oz) when stevia is 200-300 times sweeter than sugar. I like my tea sweet but not overly sweet and this seemed liked an excessive amout to use to achieve my desired taste. Well, Maltodextrin is listed as the FIRST ingredient! This means it is mostly filler and not just stevia. I think the company does this so consumers do need to use more to achieve the sweetness level thus purchasing their product more frequently.So I researched finding just a PURE stevia product that was not too high priced and found this wonderful product! The first time I added it too my 16 oz cup of green tea i measured 1/8 tsp. It was waaaay too sweet. So much so I couldn't finish drinking it. So I now measure 1/16 tsp which is perfect. Stevia is truly 200-300 times sweeter than sugar in it's purest form with out all the nasty fillers that diminish the sweetness. Though it seems there isn't much stvia for the price I 100% believe that this small bag will last me many months since I just use it for my tea @ 1/16 tsp a cup! I'm extremely satisfied, have saved money and happy I am no longer ingesting nasty Maltodextrin!

Great alternative to sugar. Buy a smidgen spoon measurer. A tiny bit packs plenty of sweetness. I was using store bought stevia and had to use anywhere from 1-2 teaspoons. I bought this and used teaspoons and the drink was so sweet I could not drink it. When they say 1/32 (a smidgen) is a serving they mean it. A little goes a long way. Definitely purchasing again.

We got this stevia because the price was the lowest at the time of purchase compared to others combined with positive reviews.It tastes, smells, looks, and seems to be of the same strength of other stevia we have used in many years.So, we will keep purchasing this brand until the price goes up because we are on a budget so that is a consideration.

Holy ****! This stuff is sweet. The good news is this product is organic and pure--no harmful additives or fillers. But be advised, where you might use 1/4 tsp of Truvia, you need only 1/32 tsp of this stuff. Invest is a set of really small measuring spoons.

Awesome everything - price, delivery, taste and turly healthy ingredient!! I've been buying the big bags of what I kept thinking was only Stevia for 15 years from the grocery store. I have a few small health issues so I'm going through all I might be poisoning myself with in my common diet and the main ingredient in the big bag Stevia is maltodextrin.This pure Stevia is much higher concentration so 1/8 tsp is about a 1/2 cup of the maltodextrin Stevia and or sugar measurements for recipes. So that little bag will go a long way. I love it in my chocolate Goat milk, lemonade, tea and so much more!! :)

I don’t usually write reviews, regardless if I hate or love the product, but I had to come here and write one on this product that I purchased. I am diabetic, so I have tried just about all types of sugar substitute and I have to say that this is the best one that I have tried in 30 years. I wanted to try a stevia brand because of the fact that it’s not man made, it’s from a plant. The product is potent, so a tiny little bit goes a long way. I have to say that I did not get an after taste that you get with most sugar substitute, so that is a definite plus. I’ve only so far used it in my coffee and in my overnight oatmeal and I love it. I will be trying this when I bake a peach cobbler, so once I do I will come back and let you know how it taste. I will be getting this from now on.

I recent study in Europe warned that erythritol is cancer causing. I started reading the packages of stevia at the store and most of them had that as their FIRST ingredient. Yikes…actually, they all had some kind of filler as their first ingredient. Good ol’ Bolo came through again. This is pure stevia. You only need a tiny amount for average sweetness. This will likely last my lifetime.

It's very sweet, so use very little. If you use too much it's very bitter. I like it though because it doesn't have any other chemicals like Erythrotol. Will buy again.
