Lots of live springtails. Packaged well. Thank you!10 days later....Numbers are dwindling. My first time trying to culture springtails and I'm not doing too well at it. I'm watching video after video trying to learn. I even bought some springtail food. I hope I catch the problem before they all disappear.Update 9/23: The culture is almost dead. I've followed directions but to no avail. I'll have to buy another culture from another seller like Josh's Frogs. Only a few springtails alive and numbers are tanking. I've tried yeast, rice, springtail food from another seller, all the while being careful not to overfeed. Nothing like the cultures you see on YouTube with springtails running around by the 100's. I wish but that's just not the case here. This culture is barely clinging to life. Nowhere near ready to feed my Bettas.Update 9/29: As an act of desperation, I dumped the starter culture charcoal into a deeper container, added more wet lump charcoal, a half inch of bottled water in the bottom, fed them, put the lid on and waited. The springtails are slowly coming back. Seems all is not lost due to my newbie skills. Just have to remember not to feed them as much as I was. Hope this helps someone.

Total waste of money. Followed the instructions to the letter. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for a single springtail to show and all I have to show is moist lumps of charcoal and soggy rice granules. Not a single springtail! Would rate 0/5 if possible. Save yourself the time and money!!

I ordered a culture of Springtails from Eco Culture on 25Nov and they shipped promptly. There were delays with the shippers. When the order finally arrived on 13Dec (18 days later), the culture was dried out and most of the springtails were dead. Only a couple of live springtails were visibly moving around.I contacted Eco Culture and followed these instructions: I poked air holes in the container, added some water and a bit of yeast for food. After 7-10 days the container came alive again with a new colony that obviously came form the eggs that hatched and I was able to introduce a portion of the colony to my largest and best established terrarium. They have multiplied in both the terrarium and the starter container. I'm very pleased. All seem to be thriving. Eco Culture are responsive and helpful! Thanks

The first batch died because we had a cold snap, but I reached out to the seller and they offered either a replacement or a refund. I chose a replacement and they looked at my local weather and held the second shipment until the temperatures were better for them to survive. The next batch came in happy and healthy!

As with other springtails from other sellers I read from reviews that they had no life when the springtails arrived but I took a gamble knowing it’s been cold and there was a possibility the springtails wouldn’t make it. To my surprise they arrived earlier than expected which could be because of the distance from the seller, and there was quite a bit of movement around the substrate. Springtails were packed well, had clear instructions on how to promote reproduction, and overall was a great experience. My terrarium is a very happy ecosystem.

I was very unsatisfied due to no springtails at all not a single one , after seeing posts I was skeptical and it happened to me as well . I can’t find any place to get springtails so thanks .

The media could not be loaded. I was home in time to get my spring tails out of my mailbox not long after delivery. I underestimated the amount I needed, but im excited to share with a friend for her terrarium and houseplants too. Thank you, for a wonderful product.
