I used to love the Superiors, but they redesigned them to be too narrow for my feet. When I switched to Lone Peak- they were still too narrow. Finally, I discovered that Lone Peak’s came in a wide width, and voila! Perfect fit, plus the aggressive tread is wonderful on all kinds of rock surfaces (much better than Superior and earlier Lone Peak versions). Wore them all over Utah on slick rock with no slipping. Bought 2 more pairs, because I’m worried Altra will redesign them and screw them up like Altra has with the Superiors.

I give 5 stars to products that meet or exceed my expectations. These do. I bought them on a Friday and the following day went for a 3 night backpack of the TCT on Catalina. This is a ridge following trail with lots of rock and ups and downs. These trail shoes performed extremely well. They are very close to zero drop, but not quite. They breath well, have excellent grip uphill and downhill. I usually take a 12 in trail shoes but ordered a 12.5 because I owned the original Lone Peaks which proved too short in my regular size. The reason: I have a Morton toe (longer middle toe than the rest). If you are looking for shoes with a broad toe box that lets your toes spread out, this is the pair. If you are looking for some volume above you toes, this is the pair. If you are looking for a shoe with a soft but tight fitting heel counter, this the pair. Very Lightweight. Great Backpacking trail shoes.

As a disc golfer, I was always trying to find a good pair of shoes with great traction and comfortable. Having size 13 extra wide feet, not an easy task. Friend of mine recommended Altras as they have a wide toe box. Got a pair of Lone Peak 7s a couple years ago and found that 12.5 wide is the perfect fit. The zero drop took a little getting used too but I must say, THE best pair of shoes I have ever had.Sadly, after 2 years of casual use, I was due for a new pair. I actually bought Lone Peak 9s but in 13 wide as that was all I could find. While nice, they were just a bit too long. Took them back and ordered these Lone Peak 8s in 12.5 wide."Like a glove!"The new best shoes I have ever worn for throwing some discs.Great traction, great color and very comfortable!The price is worth it!

Got these for an OCR and to have a nice trail shoe. The outsole has some solid rubber lugs and feel good to run in. They seem to run a little bigger than their running shoes tho, recommend going 1/2 size down

My son’s first pair of Altras and he’s never going back to another brand. The fit and comfort is superb and they hold up to his very active lifestyle. The foot shape feature is so important.

I stumbled across these shoes a couple years back while in colorado on vacation and this has been the only she I've worn since. (Lone peak) series. The shoe fits greatbi love the wide toe box. The only thing that makes me get a new shoe prior to the tread running out is my big toe usually rubbing a whole above it through the shoe. I have had my last 3 pairs do this. But that's all I can say against this shoe. I will still continue to wear these shoes. My suggestion is if you find one you like buy 2 pairs cause they make new models often of the lone peak and you may like the previous pairs. I personally like the 5 and 7 models. Hope this helps.

I was excited to buy these after my birthday and within a day I started having remarkable foot pain. I walk at least 3 1/2 miles a day and I have 10 other pairs of ultra shoes. My natural instinct is to wear the new shoes for Best new shoe cushioning, and I have ups and downs, using a mix of prescription orthotics and the factory insole.The foot pain on my right led me to believe this is a defective individual shoe and I returned to them for another pair. now, I have put more than a month into physical therapy dealing with How my foot responded to the difference in foot bed and midsole. Only after switching back to lone Peak eight did things start to subside but I still have a few more weeks of recovery. I can’t run, even even the distance of the crosswalk.Better still, I contacted Altra and had them inform me that there is no warranty after a shoe goes on your foot. My contention is that it’s very difficult to see if the shoe fits until you wear it. Thankfully I don’t buy brand direct because this would’ve been $250 down the drain. Bolo resolved the issue quickly and I have shoes that won’t kill me headed my way.That’s a pretty special response from the brand, as a fanatic customer. Altra, your customer service kind of sucks.It’s a great looking shoe and I was really hopeful, but truly evil if they don’t fit. Obv, ymmv.

Top Schuh, fallen aber groß aus!
Sehr angenehm zu tragender Wander/Laufschuh der Marke Altra. Ich bin mit dem Schuh sehr zufrieden gewesen, jedoch fallen die amerikanischen Größen weit größer aus Deutsche Schuh-Größen. Am besten eine Nummer kleiner kaufen!

He tenido el modelo anterior y estas prácticamente son igual de cómodas. La mejor zapatilla que he tenido.El único punto débil es la tela lateral de las punteras, que en el modelo anterior se me rompieron pronto.

Fantastyczne buty do chodzenia po Tatrach na kamienie, skały i pod górę. Ubrałam je prosto z pudełka i poszłam na szlak górski i nic mnie nie otarły. Szerokie i wygodne dla palców. Mam haluks na 1 stopie. Bardzo wygodne i bezpieczne, nie ślizgają się na mokrych kamieniach. Mimo że to model męski pasują bardzo dobrze i na kobietę. Noszę rozmiar 41 a buty wzięłam w 42 i były dobre. Trzeba brać o 1 rozmiar większy. Kolor khaki bardzo ładny z pomarańczowymi akcentami. Buty lekkie jak piórko. Jeszcze nigdy nie miałam tak wygodnych butów treningowych.
