I’d been following Chris for a little while on social media. Really liked his content and the reels were always inspiring. As an entrepreneur myself who has been involved in heavy industry construction and mining for 16+ years as a millennial I felt that often times we hear of our work not being valued as highly and I feel and see that everyday. However, as I transitioned into tech one of the things I wanted to bring to our company to young people and peers was to experience and embody the same values as those in blue collar professions that we serve. The same people that raised, mentored, and supported me over the years.Given the number of pages I didn’t expect much more than a compilation of all of Chris’s posts. What I read was a breakdown, a contextually written statement of what the values in his book meant. His philosophy. That I appreciated.Midway through my career I went off to university studying at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Chicago learning many things qualitatively and quantitative analysis, methods, and techniques. Additionally I’d taken a couple courses in the philosophy department studying the many different philosophical disciplines of varying eras. This book is an extension of that, a genre of philosophy unique to values that are shared and embodied by those in blue collar professions, they are not new they are older values, but rather than just saying have integrity, Chris broke down the importance of each value, the how, and why making brief analogies but always connecting each value as the book goes on.This book has been an inspiration it has been awe inspiring it let me know that I wasn’t alone in my appreciation for those who raised me with these values and having love for those who embody them, and my want for sharing those with others.I look forward to a sequel or a further breakdown, I have a feeling now that Chris has returned home he will have more time to reflect and appreciate and write his own story for us to read. Thanks Chris for reminding us and sharing with the world our values in hopes they too will come to appreciate if not share them. I think this is a good way to bring people together instead of focusing on differences we need more of that.

I bought copies for my family and we have started a family book club with this book as our first! I was seeing posts on Instagram and enjoyed the content and it looked like the perfect gift for my boys.

Very authentic, valuable message! The book is well laid out & easy to read. I have already gifted one copy & with my next purchase I am getting a handful more to give as Christmas gifts. Mr Hunt's message is something we all need to hear and live.

I’ve enjoyed this easy-to-read book … it’s simple, easy to understand and makes the reader realize that even today, it’s not hard to live by a code of conduct that has been in place for 100+ years. It’s not preachy, nor judgmental. It would be nice if it was required reading in our schools.

Amazing book with important message!
This book is particularly important in modern times. The Author delivers important messages and ideas how to live a good and meaningful life. I was searching for a book like this since a very long time and thanks to the social media of the author (thecodeofthewest on IG) i finally found it. It's worth every dollar (or euro in my case)!

Very good book about the essentials of life and relationships. It is my manual of life, even before I got this book. I highly recommend it
Book great - pages keep falling out
The book content itself is amazing and I am thoroughly enjoying myself reading it. However the construction is poor and every other page keeps falling out with little to no effort. Maybe I have been unlucky and received one which has not been made to the correct standard. I will try for a new one.
Just a book
Not what I expected, I adore the code of the west online. The words of wisdom are always a good read along with the amazing artful backgrounds and I was hoping the book would be the same vibe apparently I did not research this enough. instead it’s just large print with no art.
