Making my way through these has been a real pleasure. There is some great songwriting and playing throughout and they don't sound dated at all. The production is great. These remind me of the tighter, hookier, Deep Purple album Perfect Strangers more than the older stuff. I don't know if this set will stay as cheap as I found it for, but for 7 CDs it was a bargain. It's hard for me to find new music to get into but every once in a while I'll catch up on something I missed out on growing up and be pleasantly surprised. This is one of those times.

Would be 5 star except the autographed box set I originally ordered went to back ordered & never seemed like it would change. Other than that, great collection. Sound is excellent. Although much different, if your a fan of the "Mark II" lineup of Deep Purple you will enjoy this.

Mix!)Hier finden Sie eine Übersichtlich gestaltete Werkschau die zugleich Verdeutlichen kann warum Ian Gillan in jenen Jahren der Beste Sänger für *deep purple* war, Sorry, aber die hätten aus meiner Sicht nicht auf Roger Glover und Ian Gillan verzichten dürfen sondern gerne auf Richie *Dickopf* Blackmore und mit einem Britischen Gitarristen weitermachen können, zum Beispiel Gary Moore, Jannik Gers oder dem Jungspund Simon McBride... (ich drifte ins Träumen ab...)Gers stand jedenfalls ab 1975 zur Verfügung... Und trat 1980 "Gillan" bei der somit einen Drogenfreien (bis Heute!) Gitarrenvirtuosen hatte der dem Rainbowfrontmann locker das Wasser reichen konnte wie er auf dem Gillan Release *Magic* Eindeutig bewies. Er konnte auch Live überzeugen (weswegen ich etwas Enttäuscht bin das es von der Besetzung Leider keine Live Alben gibt obwohl es einige Mitschnitte gab. Ich sah Gillan (die Band) 1981 in Hamburg und fand deren Versionen von 'Child in Time' und 'Smoke on the Water' mindestens Gleichwertig mit den Vorlagen! Und vielleicht ist dass dann doch das Manko an dieser Zusammenstellung (auch wenn wenigstens einmal 'Smoke on the Water' enthalten ist...

還暦前にして購入❗50年来の深紫＆虹系のファンでありリッチーフリークですが新譜の様に聴くのです🎵イアンギランはソロ作品１作目を聴いて以来ほぼ初体験🆕素晴らしいボックスが出たものですっ☺️シングルレコードサイズの４つ折りと３つ折の紙ジャケにCDがサクッと入るスペースを切り込み？(丁寧に細工されてますが)直接ディスクを収納するタイプ😵出しにくい傷がつくとのコメントもありますが自分は気にならず安価だしこれもまたありかなと✨冊子も付属し紙製の外カバーも付いてます。さてなんで今更？若い頃からビートルズのソロは聴かないでおくとかいう作戦を持ち？ウイングス🎵ポール🎵ジョン🎵ジョージ🎵等々は老後の楽しみにしようみたいな？それがイアンギランへの思いでもあり還暦を目の前に新譜の様に体験できる作戦成功なのです。結果は素晴らし過ぎる‼️こんなスペシャルなハードロックをやってたのですね🎵(ちなみに再結成深紫武道館は全公演行きました)知らずに生きていたのが吉と出ました🎵イアンギランバンドの存在は今一パッとしないジャンルと出来だと噂に聞いてましたのでスルー😅ギラン以降は再結成やスティーブモーズ期で足りますので本作の７枚を堪能します❗しかし１枚目から素晴らしいじゃないですか🎵白蛇の大成功期はあまり好まず初期が好きなので本作とライバルの如く比較出来ますね🎵白蛇の半分パープル時期と(笑笑)重なりますので尚更楽しめます。とにかくパープル好きなオッサン方には持ってこいなボックスです🎵重要な感想ですがバックプレイヤーが全てパープルでよそ者が歌う🎤本家が歌いバック４人がよそ者との例えをしたらやはり歌が重要だと納得させられた🙋さて数年聴きまくるぞ🎵オススメの安価大作の登場を皆さんも喜びましょう❗
