I got this for my mom as she is recovering from a hip fracture. It definitely helps in making it easier for her to get up off the couch. It is very sturdy and stays in place with each use. It is very well made and looks nice. I have even used it as I have had both knees replaced and I have less pain in my knees when pushing myself to stand up. I don't think you will be disappointed!!!

It’s a solid build, easy to assemble, and seemed strong enough to hold the full weight of someone over 200lbs. Still, I ended up returning it because it was too high for my mother to grab on and pull herself up. I think it might’ve worked if they had full range of motion with their arms or shoulder. I also recommend you check the hight while seated of the person this is intended for.

This was purchased to be used by bedside for disabled family member, and not with sofa or chair. Provides the perfect support to better get in and out of bed. Lightweight enough to push aside/pull towards yet strong enough to lean on.

Difficult to put together, and doesn't feel sturdy. Got this as a gift and she couldn't even pull herself up with it. Had to return

I ordered this couch chair stand for my mother in law. She's 80 year's young and has a hard time lifting herself out of her recliner. I thought this chair stand would better help with her difficulty assisting her out of her chair. Unfortunately this chair stand doesn't work when it comes to recliners. I knew it might be a challenge because of the recliner foot rest but I thought I could work with it. I can't close the recliner due to the bottom area under the foot rest. It hits the lower bars of the chair stand. I tried locking the foot rest down completely but the chair stand won't fit underneath the recliner even with the foot rest down. It's a bit disappointing due to the fact that my mother in law uses the recliner most of the time. The chair stand itself is a quality product and made well. The price point is a bit high for what the chair stand is. I wish there would've been a discliamer informing people that it doesn't work with recliners. That would've been a big help. The chair stand more than likely is great if one uses it with a couch or stationary chair.

I would not recommendthus item to anyone its like a kindergarten desk to low for an adult not adjustable. Not worth purchasing I wanted to give no stars
