This is a nice way to snack on pure coconut. There is plenty of crispness and just the right touch of natural sweetness.While it's crumbly if you chew it immediately I found if I suck on one and let it hydrate a bit before chewing it retains more of the grain and releases fuller coconut flavor.

These are very fibrous. Coconut is just this way, but because fresh coconut is wet, it is easier to break down and eat. These are very well dehydrated. Raw, out of the bag might not be the best way to consume these - it’s got great flavor, but it’s so fibrous that it’s a little tough to swallow. However, in a blended smoothie, this works well and if you have a cool glass of water next to you, even the dehydrated cubes are fine for the munchies.Great taste - no additives - but it works best as an ingredient, not a stand-alone.

I don't know why the other reviewers hate this so much. It's literally what it says on the bag - unsweetened dried coconut chunks. They took coconut meat, chopped it into cubes, and removed all the water, leaving light, dry coconut cubes that are sort of dense and spongy at the same time. And those turn out to be pretty darn tasty, at least for a coco-nut like me. There's a very thin layer of what feels like confectioner's sugar on the outside, which must have migrated out from the coconut meat itself since there's no added sugar. The flavor is clean, fresh, pure coconut. Coconuts are not naturally very sweet, so don't expect the sweetness equivalent of raisins. It's not the tree's fault.I'm enjoying snacking on them as well as using them as toppings for puddings and ice cream. I might coat them with chocolate or make rice krispies treats with them. The complete lack of moisture makes them super useful for baking, since there's no moisture to cause chocolate to seize or crispy desserts to lose their crisp. They provide such a unique texture, and I love how healthy they are. Will buy more when I run out.

The description of these coconut chunks says dried but the listing does state in the description that these are freeze dried which makes them crispy and crunchy. They do taste like natural coconut but not very strong. The cubes are various sizes ranging from tiny pieces to about an inch long. They taste good out of the bag but I like to use freeze dried fruits in homemade granola bars, oatmeal and sweet breads where they can rehydrate and soften a bit but still have a little crunch. They are made in China and come in a resealable clear thick plastic bag with a sticker on the front with some nutrition information and expiration date.

This coconut tasted like it was freeze dried, which made the coconut have a powdery consistency vs. a solid texture. I threw the coconut in the trash.

Dried Coconut,Coconut ChunksThese are a product of China, so if that is a concern for you, be warned. Having said that, these coconit chunks do not offer much in the flavor department, so even if the county of origin doesn't scare you away, I don't see much point in trying them.
