Take it for a spin and then readjust brakes. The manual's pictures aren't great, but the written directions will tell you how to adjust the brakes. Or hit youtube. Same brakes as every other sub $500 bike.That said, for two C notes, its great. 33# for 29" is smoother and 20# lighter than a cheap 26" ebike. Chain is well oiled, shifter smooth enough, includes a kickstand. I plan to use it as a relaxed cruiser, so I would have preferred a taller set of handle bars, but that's a $10-$20 extension add on. Good fit for 6'2 at max (safe limit) seat extension. Any taller and you'll probably want a seat post extension too. I did end up walking it up the end of some long hills which I wouldn't have had to do on an ebike, but when my ebike cuts out this is a LOT easier to get up the hill with. Value for money. Full disclosure: No one paid me jack for this. Thumbs up if you want them to list the weight in the specs - its 33 pounds/lbs 15kg.Don't forget to add a helmet, bell/horn and a bike light for safety.
