So this was incredibly easy to sync with my phone. I was using it with Carplay and it was a seamless 10-second pairing and it was ready to go. Maps, music, etc were all easy to use. There was plenty of contrast in the screen even in sunny conditions. The internal speaker seems to be good, its not super loud, but you can't expect much from a small rear-facing speaker. I have not ran the wire for the camera yet as I already have one on my vehicle, but did plug it in and it seems fine.Things I would change:I would rather see a 90-degree connector on the aux cable end like the USB-C power has, this way it doesn't stick out the side. While we're on the aux port; I almost gave it a 1-star review because when I plugged it into the aux port, it was playing out of both the internal speaker, and the aux stereo, but the aux was terribly quiet and crackly. It turns out, you need to change the audio output in the main menu (that little white dot in the upper right of the screen). After figuring this out, I was actually quite impressed by the audio output and the EQ menu functionality.The only thing I disliked was the dash mount, it's just terrible. There is little movement to adjust it, only verticle adjustment, and it's in an awkward hard-to-reach spot to tighten or loosen. The mount itself should be a ball mount, so you can have more verticle and horizontal adjustment, and the screen needs a flip function so you can mount it upside down from top of the windshield as well. At the very least you should have a suction cup option. Instead, there is some odd slot that the mount snaps down into. The only mounting options are double-sided tape, or the two screw holes on the mount(I wouldn't recommend screwing things into your dash...) If the rest of the unit wasn't as good as it, at the price point it is, I would have given it a 3 star due to the mount alone. Overall, the unit is impressive and 5 stars, the mount is 0 stars.

The first thing of note is that the mount on this was very restrictive for our application. As a result, we got a separate mount meant for tablets. The generic ball connection was compatible with both, so we were then able to mount it onto our dash, rather than take up window room.Set up was pretty straight forward: plug into the 12v power source, connect the usb c and it turns on right away. Fm radio transmitter is built into the 12v power adapter rather than the actual device... plugging in the 12v further from the radio transmitters in the front dashboard made it statically and poor quality, plugging it in right under the dash on center console improved audio quality to 9/10.Bluetooth to phone without a problem for the android phone. We were unable to connect to the iPhone- unsure if this was a result of the fact that it was already captively connected to the Android or not. Android play auto-loaded and had maps up, but music was an issue - it wouldn't load phone library at the time of installation.The screen was bright enough to see even on sunny days and there weren't any issues with responsiveness from the system. The unit is excellent in that it hears driver prompts and is highly responsive that way.As far as connecting to the system goes, BT to phone only allowed playback either through the phone itself or the device, we had to change the settings to radio transmit in order to get the car speakers to hook up to the device - AUX cable was out of the question as our center console connectors have issues.Other than having no present space to mount the unit as it only came with a stick on mount and not a suction cup, the mount can be flipped upside-down and turned ( the rotator is extremely stiff). We didn't want to mount a giant 7 inch display on the windshield when the space was already occupied by a dash cam. (Thus the previously discussed mount change.) We did not attempt to setup the reverse camera as our vehicle has one already installed and this was a temporary fix until we put the installed radio replacement in.Ultimately we ended up removing this from the vehicle, even though it worked well. My husband isn't worried about the additional space to view maps or hearing the directions well through the car speakers- he was more concerned about how the phone would connect to the car speakers when receiving a call from inside. I imagine the easiest fix for that would have been to unplug the radio when not in the vehicle, but he decided he would rather just forego the radio itself since it worked from his phone anyways. A quote from him on that subject,"I don't like how it forces Bluetooth connection while on, even when I turn off Bluetooth from the phone it forces a reconnect, you have to manually go into blue tooth settings, select the connection and force a disconnect, you can't just turn Bluetooth off."

I used this device for weeks and gave it a genuine chance. But it failed me!Poor video graphics and output quality, confusing bluetooth connectivity. Every time I have attempted to use audio output via this device, the car audio wont sync. I cant add any apps on this device which defeats my purpose of purchasing it in the first place.Unfortunately, the touch screen has a mind of its own. Sometimes I just cant get the apps to Work.Lastly, the stand is so flimsy! The devices can fall unexpectedly while driving which can be a serious hazard.

What this is not, is an OEM factory car stereo with built in Carplay. What this is, is a decent quality mountable screen that will give you Carplay if you don't already have it in your vehicle, or it will give you the wireless Carplay option if your vehicle only has wired Carplay. It works well with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and I'm actually using this in my Polaris General side-by-side UTV. It has a large touchscreen already, but no Carplay. This gives me that functionality, and the newer wireless option at that. It is quite inexpensive for what you get. Don't expect stellar quality, but it's good enough and it works. They give you all you need to mount this properly as well.
