Expectations weren't super high based on price and there were multiple units that just had different names. Is it high end? Not even close. For under $70 you won't be disappointed. For me, it didn't create any extra noise or static. There are plenty of cables available w/ XLR & RCA on them. You do need male and female XLR's if that's what you're using.

The item reviewed is MICNAUX Stereo Equalizer for Home Audio Systems, Live PA or In Studio mixing with noise reduction. It has Dual Channel 15-Band Graphic Equalizers and has a footprint of 19" at 1U for Professional Rack Mounting - Model EQ215.This unit has XLR and 1/4 input and output on 2 channels making it very versatile for in line connectivity. I record both analog and in the box in my studio, so I was very surprised at the performance when using this EQ in line DI with my mixing boards.The band adjustments have just the right sensitivity with Unity being indented making it easy to find during adjustments. Having 2 channels at 15 bands each makes selecting A/B very convenient. It has a Low cut control button, By-Pass button and an extra Gain control slider as well.I have a home theater system in my studio to check playback on mixes and this unit also integrates well to use in that chain, providing sound level references during real world listening.So far, I have not had heat or noise issues during long sessions with this EQ in multiple different chains. At this price point, I think it is a great value and performs at levels of value priced name brand equipment such as Behringer and Donner. I can recommend this EQ.

Nice equalizer at a great price. If you are using this unit with a typical home audio stereo setup, this unit does not have typical RCA inputs and outputs. This has 1/4 inch plug type jacks so your cables must have 1/4 inch jacks on one end or use RCA-to-1/4 inch adapters. I purchased adapters and they work fine.

This is a professional quality 15-band stereo graphic equalizer. It runs on AC power and is sized to fit into any standard audio rack. Made of solid metal, each channel is metered with LEDs and has peak indicators. Also provided for each channel are a high pass filter button and a bypass button so you can A/B your results. On the back are inputs and outputs for both XLR balanced cables and unbalanced 1/4 inch cables. In working with this, I've found it to be extremely quiet. When all settings are flat there is no coloration of the original material, and when audio EQ curves are introduced the results are excellent. This is an fine device worth its price.

I love this EQ. I am using it to EQ my final mix in my home recording studio. It is 19" rack mountable, fit perfectly in my studio desk, (although hard to see in this shot), but really adds to my recordings and does exactly what I was hoping for after mixdown. For the price, this is a no-brainer!

I got this for room equalization and to fine tune the speakers of a secondary stereo system. For that, it works great for the price. This unit is bare bones. There's no microphone input, analyzer, or auto-optimization so everything is by ear. Normally, I would use homemade audio calibration disks but I made the mistake of lending them to people who discarded, rather than return, them .Unless you crank up the equalizer, this unit is pretty quiet and doesn't seem to distort (as in distortion or adding a glassy/electronic quality to) the sound. It's roughly a 2/3 octave equalizer using XLRs or 1/4" TRS headphone connectors. If patching into an home system, you'll probably need TRS to TRS, TRS to phono, or XLR to phono patch cables.As others noted, not the best feeling unit but, typically, EQ for room or speakers is usually an one-and-done affair. One star off for being bare bones and low-medium quality feeling even allowing for the great price.EDIT 4/19/2025: A friend thought I should include these additional details and a photo of the unit specifications..1) The user manual says that THE OUTPUT IS UNBALANCED, not balanced. So this unit isn't balanced end-to-end.2) This appears to be a knock-off of the Nady Systems GEQ-215. This includes the same manual used for that unit (edited to remove references to Nady) so the language is American English, not Chinglish. If a knock-off, this may or may not be comparable in quality to Nady. In electronics, binning of critical parts is common. You test components and the best parts go in one bin and the poorest in another. Buyers can then specify what quality level they want for a given price.3) This probably uses an audio DSP chip (Vendor's reference to "Upgrade chipset") so the processing is probably in the digital, not analog, domain. That's me speculating but that would be a good thing. You'd need A LOT of parts to make a decent quality equalizer with 30 sliders!
