When I got it I noticed the hose was very rigid compared to my last shop vac from this same company. I figured it would loosen up after some use. Nope! The hose is still rigid, difficult to maneuver. It appears this company has done what most do and used inferior materials to save money. 2 stars awarded because it still works. Just annoying to use.

REVIEWERS: please stop posting after initial use. These units are of very poor quality and will not survive even occasional use. Real shop use will result in near-term failure. I owned a Shop-Vac branded vacuum cleaner purchased in the 90s that survived decades of heavy use. These new units last only a few years and sometimes just months. Only long enough to get past the return window. Do not buy.
