5.0 out of 5 stars Best Food's / Hellmann's Avacado base oil Mayo
Whether you find it branded as Best Food's or Hellmann's, their original Mayonnaise is the absolute best, especially on a ham and cheese sandwich, egg/potato/macaroni salad, cheeseburger and so much more. With that said, the only seed oil used in that is soybean oil. With this product, in descending order of amounts (percentage amount not provided) it contains Avacado, Soybean and Canola oil. The taste? Tangy cucumber when tasted on it's own. When on a sandwich, it will pass for Mayonnaise but if your waiting for the subtle creamy flavor of regular mayo, you wont get it, you'll get the creamy feeling in your mouth but without that characteristic flavor of the original. If you want the taste of Hellmann/Best Food's Original Mayo, you'll have to get the original.While I appreciate what they are doing in using a much better oil (Avacado,) it's still been processed along with the other processed oils from soybean and canola oil, so there's not much benefit unless you eat a lot weekly, then this is a much better choice, but for once-in-awhile consumption, nothing is better than their original mayo, so you're better off with the original, it all depends on how often you use it and if you're willing to change to a sightlier healthier mayo compared to the original.With all that said, the bottle is very convenient in a squirt bottle and the taste while different is fine on it's own and once you think of it that way, you'll appreciate it for what it is, forgetting about what it's not, it's not the original Hellmann's mayo and will never be. Based on what it is, not what I want it to be, I think it's fine. My enthusiasm is limited at the time of writing this review because I wanted it to taste like the original, but I know it can't/won't so I wont base it on it, I'm basing it on it's own.

Delicious wit sandwiches. We love the avocado oil addition. Ordered on June 2025, best used by date of Sept 2025. I'm not sure if that is the normal expiration date range. The texture is smooth and with the unique squeeze bottle, the stream of mayo comes out in a artistic thin even stream. Reminded me of a futuristic cake decorating dispenser. Perfect seal on the bottle, stores well on door shelves in refrigerator. Arrives without the need for refrigeration until you open it. I will buy this product over buying a open jar as the squeeze bottle feels antiseptic in design as not to allow cross contamination. Great value as I only used what I wanted made with the same ingredients from a manufacturer I have used on many products.

Doing a head-to-head taste test of straight mayo, this one has a noticeably different flavor than other brands, but not anything I could call better or worse...just different.But on a sandwich, I can't tell the difference at all. It's just like any other mayo, adding some moisture and a bit of tang to really bring the sandwich together.I ordered on June 2, 2025, and the expiration date on the bottle is Sept 7, 2025. That seems a bit short, but also I don't use mayo very quickly, and have had no problem going past the Best By dates.

Simply Delicious, I love everything with avocado. I always prefer all my mayo in squeezable bottle because of hygiene. I love the avocado flavor, it is not overpowering. The texture is so smooth, very creamy and makes my sandwiches very flavorful and yummy!

The taste isn't too bad, not exactly the same as regular mayo, but not bad. I think if you are used to regular tasting mayo this will need some time to get used to it. Nice squeeze bottle which allows you to squeeze the amount you need.

We recently grabbed some chicken sandwiches to go, and they were incredibly dry. Thankfully, we had this Best Foods mayonnaise at home to save the day. The squeeze bottle is super convenient and works great. We didn't have to spend any time spreading it on, which meant our food was still hot. As for the flavor, I was very surprised how tasty it was considering the avocado oil. Needless to say, I'd order this Best Foods mayonnaise again!
