I was amazed at the quality of this mantle. We opted to install a mantle in a rental & really did not have a lot of time so we decided to try this one rather than make one. At first i was hesitant about the price but compared to our time and materials to make one it was a no-brainer. Up & ffunctional within an hour. PHENOMINAL!!! It was packed well - actually OVERpacked - & there was not a scratch on it. The mounting hardware even included a mini level! It is a substantial weight, but not too heavy that my husband could not install iton his own (he made sure to install it into studs rather than use the provifed anchors.) The nice wide top piece allows for placement of decent sized items. It is just lovely.

The mantle worked out great. Had to troubleshoot a problem with my wall not being as straight as I thought it was but it worked out okay. I’ve got a gap because of my wall, not the mantle. No issues with shipping and it looks great. A few items on the mantle and the gap is completely hidden.

The wall anchors that come with the mantle are useless. I ended up securing with toggle anchors. Otherwise very pleased.
