(Trickier was splicing in a new connector but that's not relevant to this tool) Highly recommend.

This is a nice set of wire strippers. I had a little trouble at first because I hadn't ever used a set of these but didn't take long to figure it out. You can adjust the pressure if they don't strip the wire. You adjust the length once and then everything is the same length. On the bottom is a wire cutter. Plus the handle is easy on the hand. I really like them and am sorry it took so long to get a set. Will not go back to cutting insulation off with my pocket knife.

I have had a pair of Paladin strippers since the early 80's which started having issues a few years ago, THIS is almost identical and has the same feel, even the stripping range is a little better than what my Paladins had, time to retire my 40 year old strippers, I would highly recommend these.

I can't really give this more than 3 stars. I currently have a side-insertion automatic wire stripper. It does a good job but the depth gauge broke off so I thought I'd give this one a try.This tool is limited. The maximum depth of a strip is 3/4 inch. Also, you can't strip the sheathing from the cable like you can with the side stripper. I also found that it was not as automatic as my current stripper. For this one, you have to adjust the depth of the cut with an imprecise slide bar in the top jaw of the tool. There is no mention of this slide bar in the instructions so you just have to figure it out. I found that when I adjusted it down far enough to strip of the individual wire insulation, it tended to nick and scrape the wire. I uploaded a picture of the nicked wire but it's hard to see unless you enlarge the picture.The instructions were poorly translated and covered multiple tools and crimp ends that were not pertinent to this tool.If you are stripping a lot of the same gauge wire and a 3/4" max strip is enough for you and you don't mind sacrificing some wire until you get it adjusted correctly then this tool might work for you. In my case I will stick to my current tool.

It worked for 3 times. Now I have to hold jaws shut with other hand to strip a wire, and it takes 2-3 attempts. Do not buy.
