I was asked to make a quilt out of my friend's deceased parents clothes and my very old pair of these (at least 10 yrs old) are worn out so I needed new ones. They arrived today and are better than my old ones when they were new!

Very sharp and cuts through fabric really fast. However when I go to clipping curves the handle is hard to open and close at small openings in quick sessions. Other than that they are light and have a good grip. They are designed to lay close to the fabric which makes it easy on the wrist.

The Fiskars RazorEdge scissors truly do live up to their name; they cut through fabric like butter, making my crafting tasks much more efficient and enjoyable. I highly recommend these scissors to any fellow crafters or seamstresses looking for a high-quality, reliable tool for their projects.
Forget these scissors!

As they are soft grip I thought I would be able to fit my four skinny fingers into the large part of the handle but I was not able to. Also the blades were not as long as expected, it measures approx 5 inches. Nothing like the 8 inches described. All in all I don't think they are worth two stars. They are also made in China. Go to John Lewis, they do a lovely pair of British made soft grip dressmaking scissors. Have purchased a pair and they are brilliant!
