I got this to use as a generic barrier to cover the gaps in the balustrades of my outdoor patio fence. I have a fully enclosed fence area with about 6 inches between each balustrade. I thought it'd be narrow enough to keep my new dog contained but it's just wide enough for him to slip through so he can follow me beyond! He's grown a bit since I got him and sometimes goes through extreme discomfort to squeeze through the fence gaps. At times, he'll get his head through but his body seems stuck. I'm worried about him getting hurt or making this into a habit, so I decided to cover the gaps! Although this is intended for indoor use with babies/toddlers, it's working great so far for my intended purpose! My fenced patio area has a roof over it, so I'm not too worried about the barrier eroding from outdoor weather. This barrier is exactly as advertised and comes with long, thick white zip ties for easy adherence! It's not the sturdiest or thickest but it's meant to deter and not catch a fall or anything. The built-in holes are a nice touch. I do wish it came with attached ties instead so it can be moved around or reuse. With zip ties, they're only usable once. I guess zip ties are affordable and easy to find in hardware stores, but I am trying to be more sustainable and limit my plastic disposal.

South to East Banister Guard for Baby: this item came in a clear, vacuum packed bag. It is well-made, from fine, smooth mesh. It comes with the zip ties to affix it to the banister, which is a really convenient way to do it (you need to cut them off to remove it, but it's easy to do and new ones are cheap). The material is a little thin and does have a decent amount of flex to it, so depending on the intended use, (and the temperament of the tiny person you are trying to confine) you may possibly want to double it up. It looks very nice when it is installed, and it almost blends into the background if you have white walls. It also does a fabulous job of preventing an ambitious toddler from dropping toys on the heads of people below. (At a certain age, this is apparently irresistible to them.)

- Dimensions are as advertised. Used as a crib liner to cover slat gaps, this material is thin (almost sheer but not quite), very breathable, and relatively strong against small kicking feet and poking hands.- Provided zip ties are the perfect size to fit in the mounting holes and hold strong. They are not removable and so must be cut so be aware of how the ties are used and where the cut edge is since it will be sharp plastic.- One reservation: holes are not grommeted, only punched, and so the durability of the mounting if force was applied repeatedly (say a determined child or pet) it will rip eventually. However, holes are in a thickened part that should not rip easily.See through-able and breathable, this banister guard is great for keeping curious appendages away from dangerous gaps. Just make sure to check on the mounting holes every so often for bigger tears or stretching - five stars *****
