The media could not be loaded. If you cannot figure out why your brand-new speakers do not sound as good as they did in the store, it may be the room acoustics. The Fulode equalizer is a marvelous little gem for correcting that issue. I purchased the non-computer-controlled version for $138 in June 2025.I placed a calibrated microphone at my seating position while using the free software, REW, to adjust my speaker and room acoustics such that the frequency response at that location was flat. Why flat? You want it flat to reproduce sound to match what the artist intended while in the studio. If you want to change or “color” the sound as done using typical bass and treble controls, you can, but with much finer control. In fact, you are the sculptor of your own sound. You have complete control with 31 bands of adjustment. I have included a picture of my room’s frequency response with and without equalization. Without equalization, the sound was “thin” in that it lacked low end including vocals along with a brassy high end. This is seen by a 25 db difference between 300 Hz and 1.6 kHz. With the correction in place, the whole frequency range is within +/- 3dB. This is what one would expect from a $3000 to $5000/pair of speakers. This correction took my homemade speakers to the stratosphere with regards to audio fidelity. The sound is beefy down low, provides vocals up front where they are supposed to be, and exhibits clear articulation between instruments. Your mileage may vary since not all speakers and/or rooms are fixable with equalization.Since I was testing this unit with a Fosi class D amp with no sub out, I found the sub out on the equalizer to be a welcome addition. My only complaint is that the sub output is limited to a type XLR. The mains have both ¼” TS and RCA outputs. I needed an XLR gender changer and an XLR to RCA cable to connect to my subwoofer.The unit plays MP3s off a thumb drive with no issues, and it had no problem finding my android phone using Bluetooth.All in all, this unit is a great buy. I plan on getting another and bi-amping my speakers eliminating the need for expensive crossover parts.

So the software dongle was corrupted out of the box and it constantly ask me to reformat the drive. Is there anywhere I can download the software because this piece of gear is worthless without the software.

I am an Engineer ,and I found the instructions confusing and incomplete. I am using this unit in my HomeTheater as a low pass filter to tune 2 Subwoofers , I loaded the Software in my Laptop , makes adjusting very easy. over all I am giving high marks in performance.

The media could not be loaded. I think it's great. Sometimes I just like watching it. It's nice you can bypass the equalizer by just pushing the bypass button . It took me awhile to figure out how to program it . The instructions are sort of confusing. I haven't tried the usb port yet , I'm working up the nerve to try it . It sounds great ,it's a real-time vu meter. I'm very happy with it

It looks like a Rack Unit high but is BIGGER! It doesn't fit. I measured it and it's taller than 1 3/4 inch high. The holes don't match up. Software works as it's supposed to. Not worth my time to return but couldn't use where I wanted to. Also no way to get with tech support. I'd like the source code to the app to port it over to Android.

FX-888 Initial Review
I got the Fulode FX-888 Digital EQ a couple of days ago. To be frank, it’s my first DSP equalizer—I've only used analog ones until now.I plan to write a more in-depth review in the coming weeks, once I’ve had time to run an audio sweep to validate the equalizer and spectrum analyzer bands. In the meantime, here are a few initial impressions:- Preset Loading Delay: When you load or change an equalizer setting, there’s a noticeable delay—about one second—before the changes take effect. This is expected with DSP devices, but still worth keeping in mind.- Audio-Video Sync: I’ve noticed a delay of approximately 10 to 20 milliseconds between the audio processed through the EQ and the video. That’s understandable, given the signal passes through ADC processing before being converted back via DAC. Depending on your setup, you might need to adjust the video/audio delay to avoid that “lip flap” effect.- Band Adjustment Interface: Adjusting the frequency bands directly on the unit felt somewhat complicated and time-consuming. I found it much easier to configure a few presets using the software and save them that way.- Initial Sound Quality: The audio output is great at first glance—clean, crisp, and detailed. I didn’t notice any hiss, hum, or other unwanted noise artifacts, which speaks well for the internal shielding and signal integrity. For a DSP-based EQ, this level of clarity right out of the box is a pleasant surprise.

Doesn’t work as an EQ
A 4volt input signal, which is typical for XLR, causes so much distortion that’s it’s unusable. So the XLR inputs are not for pro audio.Adding a small amount of EQ also causes excessive distortion, making these useless.The lights like nice. The unit looks nice. But that’s it
