This takes the place of 4 300 mg capsules I've taken for depression. It's a lot more convenient, costs less per dose, and seems to be even more effective. Anecdotal, so take this endorsement with a grain of salt. All I can say is, SJW works well for ME, and this higher dose works even better. I gave it 5 stars for taste because it HAS no taste when you swallow it, and it's quite easy to swallow-- for ME. I take it at night, before bedtime because I take a statin in the morning. I'm trying to avoid interactions. It seems to help me sleep, as well as lowering anxiety, calming, and dampening down the depression quite substantially. As I say, it works quite well for ME. Your mileage might vary.

What a difference! I work full time, in a masters program, and family at home with two toddlers. I'm always exhausted and looking for ways to naturally boost my energy levels and mood. I tried low dose (500mg) St John's Wort before and had very little effect. Bought these puppies and started taking two in the morning and two in the evening. What a difference it has made, I am much more focused, energized and no longer struggle waking up in the morning. Side note, at such high dose it can have a negative impact on your ability to fall asleep if you already have problems with it. However, I don't fall asleep, I simply pass out so it's not an issue for me but want to make sure others are aware in case you start having problems. In case anyone is wondering, my dad thought me the trick of falling asleep anywhere that he learned in the military. Also, everyone is different. My wife says she does not feel much of a difference taking the supplements. However, she is not consistent and takes the regular dose. But I noticed a slight improvement in her mood when I do reminder her so I'm not sure if she is paying attention to herself to notice. Good luck with whatever issue you are looking to resolve and I would definitely recommend trying this product. Never give up and keep fighting!

Diagnosed with (Severe) Major depression. I’ve never held a job longer than a year and it’s a very hard life my low points are endless and 2020 was my worst year yet. I’ve been taking these almost 4 months, the longest I’ve taken any med due to terrible side effects. I feel great. I also am at the same job I was when I started these shortly before starting the job. My doctor suggested taking them with vitamin D3 which so far seems to be helping as well! Magic pills for me. Before this I’ve tried Prozac, abilify, Wellbutrin, Zoloft and even some experimental “microdosing”. Might be worth a try! Talk to a doctor about it!*Update*: I’m not giving all the credit to these, coping mechanisms work great to… But since writing this review 3 years ago I’ve been at the same job. Gotten a promotion, bought a house and have had a lot better moods. I did quit taking them for about a year and then this last winter had me kinda blue so I got back on them and I’ll probably stay on them for some time.

I love this product. I am an Iraq war vet and suffer from combat related PTSD. My mental state deteriorated bad this month and I had no emotion or feelings. I took this product and my symptoms improved and mental status became more clear practically overnight. I do not respond well to just talking about my feelings and such to a VA therapist who has never even been to war and prescribes chemical meds and pushes you out the door. This product is amazing! My mind cleared up, my feelings returned and I feel great. I just hope it continues to work so I won't have to be someones lab rat testing all sorts of chemical drugs on me.

Probably the best St. John’s I’ve used. I love this St Johns Wort. It’s the most effective I’ve used and has a higher dosage than normal. Helps keep my mind calm without making me drowsy, but I’ve also taken it at bedtime when I just can’t shut my mind off. Takes just the right amount of the edge off to help with my anxiety. I’ve been using it for over 2 years and I’ve been able to completely remove my meds. Of course do not do that cold turkey and without your dr’s help. But this has helped me really stabilize.

Ran out of my usual brand and went with these due to similar in size and texture but with a bit more punch then the ones I usually take. Definite believer is St. John's Wort if you are feeling the blues, down, easily aggravated, etc. But that's just my opinion that I'm sharing with you. No PhD here.
