I purchased the first generation of this light when it first came out, and it lasted through the winter before one of the lights stopped working. Purchased this to replace it, and so far the quality is noticeably better. The lights are way brighter and the materials used higher quality. Setting it up in the app was simple.FYI, if setting this up with Matter: after finishing pairing it with the Govee app the directions say you have 15 min to add it using Matter. I looked all over the box and included documentation for the RFID or code with no luck. The Matter code is in the lights settings in the Govee app. I had to use a second device to capture the RFID from my phones screen. The light works fine with Smartthings using Matter.If anyone from Govee is reading this, please consider formatting the Matter code in the app so it can be copy/pasted.

The media could not be loaded. Over the moon! Creates such a different vibe to our backyard depending on the occasion. Chill or lively. We can also easily change the colors depending on the season or holiday easily on the app. I have 3 of these and will be purchasing 2 more sets

The media could not be loaded. I want to say I actually really like these. I think they add such a great ambience to your home or whatever you are trying to light up. The colors are vibrant, the patterns are fun. It really adds a great effect.I do have one pretty big complaint though. My front porch is 11ft long. These are just a little over 9ft between the lights. The length of the wires is really what's disappointing. I dont want to install to look janky and to properly space out the lights and hide the wires I had to splice into them. One thing to note is make sure you use the proper gauge wire and actually solder your connections. I was able to add 16 feet into mine and they still work great.All-in-all, these are really nice but have one big flaw. Length between lights gives you significantly less options of placement unless you want to splice into them. Which not everyone is going to be comfortable doing.Update: the second one in the chain has started collecting moisture and water is building up. Now the other two don't work after in the chain don't work. The rest aren't collecting water. Haven't had these very long. Pretty bummed out.Update 5/4/2025: This has been a bit of a roller coaster but I am upping my stars. I contacted Govee support for the light that wasnt waterproof. Their responses were fast and they solved the problem immediately by offering me a replacement. Great customer service goes a long way!!!
