The Ghost 17’s needed to fix a lot of issues from previous model 16. I’ve been wearing the ghosts for about 4 years now to workout and I knew something was wrong with the 16s when I continued to feel pain when running and around my ankles/heels even though the shoes were brand new. I have work the 17’s now through a weeks worth of workouts with NO PAIN, and feeling much better with my running and lifting. The light blue with the orange is actually cute and seems somewhat neutral in case I need to run some errands in them! Thank you Brooks for making the seriously needed improvements from the 16’s the 17’s really bring back my faith and support in this brand and I’m happy to keep wearing them!! Definitely go for the 17’s!!!

Best Brooks I have worn in years. I have wide, flat feet and have plantar fasciitis with back issues. These are the best shoes for these issues. A step above the other Brooks of the past.

I was so happy that Brooks’ lowered the heel to toe drop to 10 mm and I was excited to try this shoe. Disappointed to find out that the heel cup is very shallow and thus, my narrow to average heels pop out. They seem to have good support but that’s wiped out when your heels are not stabilized!!!It seems, looking at the elf shaped arc on the top of the heel, that they are trying to mimic Hokas, which also have very shallow heels and stupidly shaped ones as well. I can’t wear those, either, for the same reason.The other thing I dislike about Brooks’ shoes is the ridiculously narrow tongue, that provides no protection for the sides of the top of the foot. Another money saving tactic, I guess.These are going back.

I do order up a size because I like room in the toe box but that might be personal preference. They wear well, are lightweight and very comfortable.(I usually wear 8 and I bought them in a 9)

Are Brooks trying to be Hokas now? These were so thick and clunky looking on my feet. I’ve had so many pairs of Ghosts. The 17’s are different to me— and not in a good way. 😬

I’ve bought many pairs of brooks ghost shoes over the past few years. I have quite the collection! Always order the same size, and they usually fit perfectly. Once in a while I’ll get a pair that’s more narrow in the toe box. That’s how these feel. Not sure if it’s just this particular pair or if they’ll all fit this way. Also the heel doesn’t hug the same as 16s and previous. I can deal with both of these issues and will happily wear them, but I’m a little disappointed in the new model. Thinking my next pair will be 16s again. The best thing is that the new colors are gorgeous. The blue/white/orange is 🔥

Leider kann ich diesen nicht anziehen.Denn nach ca. 15 min tragen im Haus noch nicht mal bei beim Training habe ich starke Rückenschmerzen mit pelzigem Gefühl am Schienbein bekommen.Daher werde ich ihn zurück geben. Und Mir wieder einen 16 er bestellen.
