The unit that I received did not power on after being installed. I contacted the manufacturer and after approximately five email exchanges, the manufacturer instructed me to return it. This is distressing given the fact that it cost me $1000 to have it installed and now I will have to pay for them to remove this equipment to return it and then I will have to pay to have the next unit I buy installed. In essence, the lower priced unit cost me the most!

cheap to run, have had it about a year now and its been working pretty much fine besides the fact the thermostat is kind of wonky, turns on about 2 degrees past set point, and drops to about 3-8 degrees below set point, likely just needs the cycle times adjusted professionally but other then that, its great.

I was desperate to get heat in my home and air-conditioning. The price to replace my central Heat And Air unit was $11,000. I could not afford that. Even making payments I could not afford that. It was starting to get cold enough at night that we needed heat. We had none. So we found this on Bolo and purchased it With a coupon that had $300 off. We had it installed for $600. The second it came on was such a relief. It heats about 1500 ft.². We are going to purchase another one to go in the other end of the house because my house is like 2200 ft.². But we are very satisfied and it has a remote control where you pcan set it where it senses when to change from heat to cool or cool to heat. That is very convenient. It also saves 62% on the electric bill. So there’s nothing wrong with that! Thank you Bolo for such a great product and a great price and you saved us from freezing to death.

I bought the 2-ton unit and installed it myself using relatively inexpensive tools purchased from Bolo after watching some videos on YouTube.Good:- The unit is very efficient and blows very cold and hot air. My old central A/C from the late 90s was pulling around 2000 watts while operating. The new unit pulls around 500 watts. My total daily electric usage dropped from 25-30 kWh to 15-20 kWh- There are 5 fan settings: Mute, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo.- Support was relatively responsive via email.- The outdoor unit is very quiet. Much quieter than my old central A/C outdoor unit.Meh:- The indoor unit is loud. I measured 56 decibels using my phone at a distance of around 12 inches from the fan while the fan was set to Low. It gets much louder at higher fan speeds and sounds like a wind tunnel. Luckily the mute setting is relatively quiet and about the same sound level as the central air conditioner that was replaced.- The remote is Celsius only. The unit came with the temperature set to Celsius, but after downloading and setting up the app, it swapped over to Fahrenheit at some point. I assume this was because I set the temperature reading to Fahrenheit within the app settings.Ugly:- The factory 1/4" flare tore right away during installation. Luckily I had flaring tools and decided to cut both lines to the desired length and flair them myself.- The larger 3/4" line is very easily kinked. I ended up purchasing a pipe bender to bend the larger line.- The thermostat is not very accurate at all. On cooling mode, the system doesn't stop blowing cold air and goes way past the set temperature. For example, I set it to Cool to 75 degrees and woke up to a 68-degree house, but the app said the temperature reading from the head unit was still in the 70s. The system works better on Auto instead of Cool, but the temperature is forced to 77 degrees which is too hot. I've accepted that I will need to buy a 3rd party thermostat like a Cielo Breez, Flair Puck, or something similar.- The AC Freedom app integration isn't very good. After changing settings in the app, the app commonly doesn't display the actual settings that the A/C is operating under and will take a few minutes to update/sync. I do not know if this is an app or A/C problem, but it's frustrating.- The Google Home integration is limited to On/Off. No settings are shown or configurable within Google Home, it's just on or off.- The outside unit arrived damaged. The company wanted me to package it up and take it to a return location, but I do not have a vehicle large enough to haul it anywhere. As a result, I took the shroud off and inspected the damage. I have spent over a week trying to install this in my house.One HUGE problem with this product that will give you a financial hit; it uses R32 refrigerant. You cannot buy this refrigerant without first getting an EPA number. Which costs $150 and the refrigerant costs a few hundred more.I bought this for $900 and I’ve put about $500 more in materials to get it installed correctly. It also has a short pipe so you’ll need to purchase more L type copper if you want to move it, not with more fittings. You literally need to purchase copper tubing that’s long enough. Add an additional $200I’m very dissatisfied because of all the extra time money and headache this has caused in my life and I haven’t had it a week yet. Not even been able to use it yet.
