I laid aside my regular work the story was so interesting to me. Now I have to get the next book. I loved the RedWing Saga so much, reading this book just showed me I like Sharon’s style of writing.

I found this book on clearance and thought it sounded interesting. But I was disappointed. This book wasn't anything like I thought it would be.First, I didn't get much of a sense of place. Even though Eden was a small town, it didn't really feel like a small town.I also found the characters to be very flat and predictable. It got very annoying after all. There was Katy-the former Christian with a dark past, Josh-the good ole boy reporter, Enoch Jones, the faithful pastor, and a few others who were equally unremarkable. The good characters were completely good and the bad were really bad.For fans of this genre, I would recommend "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness" by Frank Peretti. He is a master storyteller and knows how to write an excellent supernatural thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I don't think I will be reading the rest of this series.
really enjoyable with sinister undertones
Really enjoyed reading this book. Sharon Gilbert's style is smooth and effortless. Thought provoking narrative gives this book an extra kick. Can be difficult to locate her other books on Bolo which is a shame as I would readily buy them as well after reading this.

Love this book! It’s a must read story that you won’t want to put down by an amazing author! Every detail takes you into the story and the character’s lives like you are part of it. Highly recommend! Looking forward to reading the next in the series!
