This was a great purchase. I would buy it again. It’s easy to use and was worth the cost. I highly recommend! What a great Guy Health Test.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very very basic gut test with outdated parasite testing

    n. · August 9, 2025

Pricey. This item is ok. It was pretty interesting. They sent out an expired tube, but customer service was great. The lab will not test if the tube is expired. The Ova and Parasite test kit they use is a bit outdated. Labs have switched out from the Pink and Yellow caps and now using Black caps as they are more in depth and reliable. Results come in about 5 days from the ship out day. They test for a few normal bacteria in the gut and those levels if elevated or not. They also test for worms and bacteria in this sample.I did Ombre's (Stryve) kit a few years ago, and there's gave a more in depth view of the various bacteria in the gut but no parasite testing. Ombre also gave a food list to do and avoid. If you are looking for a more in depth view of various bacteria in your gut, go with Ombre, if you are looking to find parasites in your stool then you can go with this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars They want an awful lot of personal info

    D. · September 14, 2025

First, I ordered the gut health kit and got the diabetes kit, so not a good start. When the kit arrived, I had every intention of trying it anyway. However, nothing about this kit instills confidence, and I think I'd just rather go to my doctor's office if I really want to know if I'm at risk of diabetes. There is very, very, very limited information about the company, the technology, or the process on the packaging or website. Why should I trust that this product will give me any useful information at all? What is it looking for? What is it testing? What is unique about their labs? Who is going to draw my blood for this test? Why use a kit like this, when, for the same money or less, you can go to Quest Diagnostics and get a legitimate test? The instructions indicate that I can get my blood drawn at a very large lab network and that it's included in the price of the test. But why doesn't the kit (or website) tell me which one? How do I know that there is one near where I live? The only way to find out is to first give this company, which I know nothing about, all of my personal information including my name, address, phone number, height, weight, birthdate, gender at birth and other information. My doctor has all of this information, too, but I have a trusting relationship with her. Ki Health, I don't know you at all.Why not be transparent and have all the information I might want available to me before you ask me for all of this incredibly personal information? In this crazy world we're living in, I not only have a right to be suspicious, I would be stupid to not be be suspicious, especially when you are clearly hiding all of your information from me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money

Apparently they don't read their own Bolo page. In the title "at-Home Test" and "-at-Home-Kit"Third bullet point in the description "EASY AT-HOME KIT - Skip the lab visit"In truth, after you give them lots of personal information (which I haven't), they will send you a list of the nearby labs they utilize, then you go to the lab for your "lab visit", have blood drawn, they you send your samples away to them for analyzing. After looking at the package, the errors on their advertising, and realizing this company exists for only 5 tests, I decided to keep my personal information private. I'm not sure I would trust the results anyway. A standard A1C test is the gold standard and cheaper than this test.Having gone through a cancer diagnosis and treatment and countless blood tests for several years, I think I will continue with my physicians and the same 2 labs I have used for years.

3.0 out of 5 stars Review Part 1 - This is *NOT* an at home test!

    L. · October 12, 2025

This is NOT an at-home test. As Bolo Vine Voices, we are only responsible for the tax liability of the retail value. And yet I feel quite deceived. It’s in the title of the listing, the body of the listing, on the front of the box as a feature - “Private Test at Home”, and on the back under “How It Works” where it says step 2 is “Easily collect your sample from the comfort of home”. NOT!What you DO get to do at home is receive your package via Bolo, register it on their website, locate the lab, make an appointment for the draw, and check on it’s progress (so it says). I haven’t verified that last part yet, but I’ll be back to let you know if there were any hiccups. I thought it of the utmost importance to tell you - ASAP - what you are committing to vs what you are LEAD TO BELIEVE you are committing to. That’s why this is part one. We haven’t even had the blood draw yet.So this kit presented some problems as soon as we opened it together (“we” is explained soon) and made this important realization. Now I’m not totally devoid of common sense and reason, in fact I have a double dose of common sense. I have a “rare” (more like rarely diagnosed) genetic disorder. I have participated in studies trying to discover the genes responsible. I never left my home for any part of them. One was a 3-vial blood draw to do whole genome sequencing (testing EVERY gene). They sent a nurse to my home to do the draw. I thought there would be a similar arrangement based on price. When I input my city, I was given only one lab network (Any Lab Test Now) and 3 locations to choose from which ranged from my town (luckily), and 2 other towns that were about 30 and 40 miles away! I am NOT at all in a remote location. Hours at this lab are limited to M-F, 9 to 5, but the last appointment on all days is 4PM. It was a lab with banking hours - nothing early, nothing late, nothing Saturday.I didn’t get this kit to use on myself, but I’m doing everything involved with the exception of providing the blood so I’ll have the full experience of being able to provide all of the feedback (and stay within the Vine program rules!). I have a bartering arrangement with my helper, whose only day off is Sunday. He leaves for work with a carpool and drives 45 minutes each way. Zero out of pocket expense for him. They leave at 6AM and return at 3:50PM. I sure hope they’re understanding at the lab if he’s a few minutes late, as he will be despite our plans for him to grab and drop his dog off to me as I meet him in the driveway, because he won’t even have time to let the dog relieve itself! And he’ll be working all day, but have to skip his mid-day meal for the fasting purposes. And the instructions say not to exert yourself when he’s essentially skilled labor. Otherwise he’d have to miss a half day of work to go in the morning, and AM or PM, he’d lose $30 in gas to drive himself. But that’s not all!Apparently, you have to mail the kit back yourself, within 24 hours (ice pack included), so add that inconvenience in. The instructions tell you that if you can’t get to it right away you need to refrigerate it. So now even more arrangements had to be made for him to bring it here for ME to refrigerate it and get it to the post office the following morning, to stay within the 24 hours.CONVENIENT AT HOME TESTING??? *DEFINITELY* NOT!!! But we really want these results. He hasn’t seen a doctor in years, and has a STRONG presence of diabetes in his family tree (type 1, amputations and all). He was diagnosed with type 2 when he saw a doctor through work benefits several years ago, and given a prescription that he later cut in half (without consultation) to stretch them out when it didn’t look like he’d be able to afford a doctor or meds for a while. He takes very good care of protecting his feet at all times, and prioritizes/scruitinzes the sugar he consumes, but he’s addicted to a particular carbonated beverage. Good taste, but we know how much sugar is in them.My helper is a jack of all trades. He is instrumental to my Bolo Vine Voice participation, cheap/unorthodox home repairs, and making my home maintenance and life more bearable and almost affordable in general. And I LOOOOOOOOVE being a Voice! Due to my disorder (MANY comorbidities), the nature of it, and advancing age, I’m no longer able to do everything myself; and man have I gotten A LOT of cool things that I couldn’t install on my own without risk of further injury or needing a 3rd hand. I really need his help, and I really worry about his health. I stuff him (and his pup) with good, homemade meals with real nutrients as part of our barter. He knows he’s doomed liked the rest of his family, but we don’t know how bad it might affect him, when, or any of those other factors this test kit may uncover. (We are looking for a peek into the future and to see if it’s worse than thought. The man hasn’t even had a lab test in years. ANY lab test.Upon registration there are links for you to review the Terms and Privacy policies. I’m a reader when I sign myself up for something. You can bet I’m twice as careful before I sign up someone else - even with their permission! Neither link worked and simply lead to a 404 page not found. I couldn’t find any other links on their website to find these policies, but the email you get later has links I didn’t follow (like closing the barn door after the horse has left). The Contact page opens a dialogue box asking which app you want to use for the “mailto” form. No phone number, although it’s on the product box and in the printed instructions which is a large foldout sheet in very large print with large illustrations - no readers necessary. So you’d better hold on to the instructions or the box until after you get your results, understand them, and are satisfied. There was no guidance about printing the mentioned, necessary return label, even in the confirmation email. Another inconvenience since I’m having printer issues so now I need a trip to the office supply store and to shell out a few more bucks! Now I have 2 errands I have to make a special trips for. More $. I had to go back to the site, log in, and go looking for the label. But it’s a fairly bare bones site so it didn’t take long. It’s on your dashbord, in your kits, and under the “Need Help?” section (see pics). But I was presented with the no eating or drinking for 8-12 hours, and other instructions several times along the way, in addition to the included printed instructions and by email. At the very least there should have been a mention of where to find it on their site in the email. They also mention needing to bring the Lab Requisition Form in the instructions, but there’s no form in the box. I think it was in another video I watched on their site (on my own) for another kit (they didn’t have this a video for this one yet) where they said to bring your lab request card if you have one. Honestly, I’m giving it a 50/50 chance that they know what to do and this all goes down without a hitch. But I’ll be back with an update (Part 2) after the draw if there’s anything remarkable to add, and after we review the results. How you receive them is clear as mud.So now what I thought would be a simple come draw his blood has turned into both of us scramblingh against impossible deadlines, shelling out money we didn’t plan on, and running around town to make it happen. And there’s a notation on the box saying if the same is not sufficient, retesting may be necessary. What do you mean not sufficient. If the lab does its job, we do ours, I sure hope that will be sufficient!NOT what we bargained for, and you should know before you commit. So for now it gets 3 stars. Neutral. Not good, not bad. Watch this space for further developments.
