This is the only gear shifter I have used so I have nothing to compare it with. Keeping this in mind I have no complaints about how it works. It's build solid (I dropped it on my foot pulling it out of the bag that Bolo so carefully packed it in - yes that is sarcasm). This shifter is not made to mount on your standard steering wheel stands though. I had to cut a piece of wood to put under it so I could mount it on my stand. It works, but it would be nice if it just fit into the slots like it's supposed to. Given the choice, I'd probably opt for the official Logitech gear shift. Still, this one does seem well made.

Tiene un buen sistema de agarre al escritorio.Me gustó que tiene una especie de cubierta en la palanca hecha de piel.También me encanta que trae 6 cambios y el sistema para aplicar la reversa empujando hacia el fondo de la palanca para luego mover la palanca según indica en la parte superior de la palanca.No tuve problemas de compatibilidad. Y lo he podido usar con algunos juegos de PS4 como el Gran Turismo 7 para PS4.Este es un buen control de palanca como una excelente alternativa al original a un mejor precio.Ampliamente recomendado!
Very good accessory for my G29 steering wheel at an affordable listed price.
I bought this gear shifter to add to my G29 steering wheel. I use it to play trucking simulators as I drove trucks in the past and I'm a bit nostalgic. I find that for truck games, a gear selector is better for realism and in addition, the acceleration speed of a truck is generally slower so it's easier to focus on changing gears.Pros:- The choice of plastic used for the base is excellent.- I don't feel it's brittle when I move the shifter.- It stays firmly in place once screwed securely to my desk.- I haven't had any compatibility issues while gaming.- The leather part feels sturdy and feels realistic.Cons:- The plastic piece underneath that holds it in place tends to come off completely if you loosen the screw too much. You just have to put it back on, but that's a bit less convenient.Conclusion:Given the quality of the materials and the optimal functionality, I must admit that the listed price at the time of this review ( 39.99$ + shipping ) seems very good at my point of view. Overall, it comfortably meets my expectations.I highly recommend it. It's a complete success for me.
Shifter Sock Starting to Disintigrating, Shift Alignment Screws Need Alignment
I was waiting for the Logitech shifter to go on sale because at $80 full price it was way too expensive. Luckily i found this shifter and it is plug and play with a G29 wheel out of the box. Though its not recognized in G Hub software, games do detect/recognize each gear shift as its own button. It gives the same gaming experience at half the price, though its mounting solution is less elegant and it did require some adjustments in regards to the alignment screws.At first i was experiencing incorrect shifts, for example on gear 4 would shift to gear 2 inconsistently. I had to open up the shifter and loosen/extend the side adjustment screws which stopped the shifter from moving left and right too much, and that fixed the incorrect shift issue.I have a short lip around my desk and the mounting solution for this shifter requires more space depth wise compared to the Logitech Wheel (and probably the Logitech shifter as well, based on pictures.) So i had to 3D print a spacer block to prevent the shifter from swiveling left and right when shifting, as it wasn't resting fully against the table. The clamp arm underneath the shifter sticks out farther and i do wish it was shorter/same length as Logitech's.If you start seeing black specs of dust around your desk, its most likely the shifter sock breaking into tiny pieces. I started noticing it the second day of use, and upon closer look the leather is peeling on the top already. So its not a very high quality plastic leather, but it doesn't really affect functionality, just aesthetics.Overall i would still recommend this shifter as its half the price of the original Logitech shifter, and after making adjustments it functions identical in games. Shifts are smooth and stay put without issues, including the push down to reverse. Sequential shifting will have to be supported and programed on the game side, as its not detected in G Hub.Pros:-Plug and Play with Logitech G29 Wheel-Same functionality at half the priceCons:-Leather sock is disintegrating, resulting in black specs around the desk-Shift alignment screws within needed adjustment for reliable shifts-Poor mounting solution for short desks
Better than logitech
I've owned a g29 for a few years now, and that includes the original shifter, it's sad to say, but it's done it's time.This on the other hand, feels tighter,and clickier than my original ever felt.Every shift clicks into place and it feels just as good if not better than Logitech's own offering.At this price, i sincerely doubt you can find something better than this.Easiest 5 stars i've ever given, it's that GOOD.The only con i can give you is the lack of mounting solution, their clamp they give with the shifter dosen't stay IN the shifter, so when not in use it'll flop everywhere.
Excellent Value With One Area For Improvement
The NBCP Wolf-V3 is a perfectly acceptable shifter option if forking out the big dough for a major name-brand shifter doesn't appeal to you.That said, as with most budget options, there will be some tradeoffs. First, this shifter is pretty plain looking. It's all just black plastic. However, it does feel solidly built and the plastic does have an appealing texture to it. The mounting system also works well and in my use has remained firmly affixed to my gaming desk without any undesirable movement.I did have some problems getting it set up, though. The instruction manual only covers how to mount it to your desk and plug it into the wheel unit. In my case, the shifter never showed up in Windows, in Logitech G-Hub, or in any of my games once that was done. I ended up having to delete G-Hub, delete my Logitech G-29 drivers, delete some Windows Registry entries, restart my computer and reinstall G-Hub before it would work. To be fair, that may well be an issue with Logitech rather than the manufacturer of this gear lever, as I have always found Logitech stuff to be a bit finicky and failure prone.The one area that could definitely use a little improvement is in the gear engagement feel. The shifter feels a bit like rowing a spoon through oatmeal. Yes, there's some feel there, but the return springs and engagement points could definitely use some beefing up. I use this mainly for truck simulators, which require slow shifting, and on several occasions have still found myself lost among the gears and uncertain if the right gear has been selected....and this despite the fact that my personal vehicle has a manual transmission! If you're into competitive racing games, a shifter with better feel and feedback would likely be helpful. It's not that the feel on this shifter is awful, it's just that it could be better.Currently priced at just under $40 Cdn, this shifter is less than half the cost of the top-selling big-name brand. As such it represents great value for a casual gamer on a budget.

It's not even 1 month and the shift cover is peeling already. Not recommended at all.

This is the only gear shifter I have used so I have nothing to compare it with. Keeping this in mind I have no complaints about how it works.
