Many years after the bloody turf war that ushered in an uneasy era of peace in Hong Kong's underworld, the notorious Kowloon Walled City serves as a fortified, lawless safe haven for gangs and refugees alike. But when a skilled underground fighter runs afoul of the most feared Triad boss in Hong Kong, a bounty is placed on his head despite his connections to the leader of the infamous enclave. As a fan of Asian films from the 50s,60s,70s and 80s this is a good film the martial styles are great as well as the actors past & present and enjoyable popcorn movie.

The first half was outstanding. Thought we were watching a real classic. But then it just got silly and incongruous, and the whole thing became a joke. It felt like a completely different movie.

Yes, it is one of the best Action movie Made in Hongkong. Good storyline, simple but efficient. The hand-to-hand combats are not so technical, but they are just mind-blowing. Samo Hung, an immortal Icon of Old School movie, always impressive despite his age. Actors seem enjoying in what they do in front of the camera. Pity, there are neither Donnie Yen nor Jacky Wu, two stars of Hong Kong best Action movie. Asian action movies look always more energetic than American flicks (except maybe the series of "Fast and Furious"). Why ? Because Hong Kong movies take advantage of a long experience of Kung Fu flicks of 70s-80s. They master very well fight choreography with Yuen Wo Ping, Corey Yuen...

nice movie, no bonus feature
Great looking 4k blueray!! But there's no bonus feature and the menu is simply same picture than the one on the cover (witch could be better with all the nice poster we have).
Must buy for any martial arts fan.

A showcase for HK stars of yesteryear
I was delighted to see both Loyis Koo, and Sammo Hung. I struggle to believe Kooas a fighting machone, and Sammo has to be well into his 60s, but both acquit themselves well. Production values were first and foremost in rectreatin the Kowloon Walled City. This was my first China / HK 4K blu ray.
