This is so nice . Made with good quality and comes with over 400 pieces. The instructions are easy to follow and the size is nice . It can take close to 30 or 40 minutes to build a robot, but it does depend of the child. Makes for a great gift .

The media could not be loaded. Nice stem toy for 10 year old. We did have some issues figuring out the sensor and we thought it wasn’t working at first. But the robot was moving as soon as it turned on without waving over the sensor, then we waited until it stopped waved over the sensor and it started moving again. It comes with very detailed and specific instructions and helps understand sensors and movements. Solar powered and battery powered. You will have to use the same pieces for every robot you build so you can only build one at about 30 minutes to build one robot.

One of the best toys I've ever got for a 6-year-old. It teaches the basics of power, motor, and mechanism. Its cables are easy to use. A cable broke after a few days. I reached out to the seller about this, and they immediately sent a brand new package. The process was very easy too. Great toy and team. Highly recommend!

The boys were excited when they unwrapped this from their presents - I guess all the options and many things they can build really shows through on this packaging.There's really a lot in this box (fairly small box too). It makes sense though, given that each piece are slim and can pack fairly well when they are not assembled.There are small motors that you can attach to certain builds that will activate movements (walking robot to spinning windmill), however to use those, you will need to use batteries (AA and they are not included).It was interesting to see what could be built, but if the kids are too young, you may have to help out with the building. The product title listed age ranges from 5 to 12, but I think this is a bit too young for 5 to play with properly, however, getting them interested is not a bad idea (which is what happened with our boys).I guess for younger ones, as long as they can follow instruction, they can create things, but depending on how nimble they are, some 5 year olds may have a harder time building. Still, I don't want to discourage as I think this toy has lots of potential.Great idea. Great ways to try building and great way to test out a kid's creativity.

My grandson loved building different robots. The instructions were clear for each build. It was great for him to be able to follow the instructions step by step and the pieces were durable and not flimsy.

STEM on a budget
Like most budget STEM kits the instructions are not the greatest but luckily most of the builds aren't too difficult. A bit of thinking and trial and error is actually a good thing imo, what's not so good is missing pieces and that is not something that can be solved. I have had similar experience with other budget STEM kits and this is no different.Overall you still get a lot of value here for the price. Worth considering.
Not everything works, some of the vehicles require pieces that aren't included
The media could not be loaded. On my very first project I found the instructions hard to understand... they're probably written by someone with english as a second language. And even the diagrams are not exactly clear. You almost have to refer to the picture of the finished product in order to build it...It got worse when I tried to make my vehicle work. It turns out my set was missing a type of gear, the LARGE WHEEL is supposed to have groves for the rubber rope to fit... but instead it's just a edge that obviously can't hold a rope like a pulley would. So I built the crab for my kids and then it doesn't even move.My kids were originally not too interested in this set... it's pretty difficult, definitely on the 9 to 12 age range, and not the 5 to 6... the younger kids could help the adult build it. A big problem is that the pieces require a lot of force to fit together, that only 12 year olds are probably capable of. An adult will definitely be helping kids with these projects.The instructions have 11 different 'vehicles' you can build... some battery powered... some solar powered...You could also build your own custom vehicle... it's totally feasible if you're really keen.The quality is middling. For instance the glue and soldering of the battery pack and motor is messy and weird looking. The screw to hold the battery lid in actually has no threads to screw into... apparently it's just there for show.I appreciate that the box contains a plastic tray that holds all the pieces for storage in separate spots... it was immediately useful and helps keep organized. What is NOT useful is that many pieces are the same colour for no good reason... it is very hard to sort and differentiate. The colours of the pieces seem random and not in any way helpful.I would say, if your children are REALLY into building machines, or want something more advanced than lego, or a new challenge, then there's a chance they will enjoy this set. But it doesn't have the polish and quality and ease of use of a name brand toy.
Fun STEM set
Great STEM set with tons of pieces to build different robots that teach physics and mechanics. The parts are high quality with no sharp edges, and the colorful instruction book is easy to follow. It has strong replay value.
Adult assistance needed for younger ages
This is a fun STEM build set with multiple options on what to create. We got this for our children and they enjoyed it (with my help) quite a bit. I wouldn't say it's going to be a successful build if done independently for the younger ages. They can definitely make some very fun and cool stuff by themselves. But for the functional vehicles and contraptions with solar panel involvement and battery-powered motor, it's probably better suited for 9+ to do on their own (or, if younger, then with an adult)... All pieces were included along with instructions. So many different things to build!
