Here are the "Pros" and "Cons" i've found below. For reference, I'm most familiar with the Xbox One/Windows controller, so that's what im comparing it against:+ This has very similar ergonomics to an Xbox One controller. I felt right at home holding and using this for the first time after using the XB controller for many years.+ The d-pad and 4 face buttons have a very satisfying clicky-springy feel to it, though i do have a slight preference of the more membrane feel of the 4 face buttons on the XB controller.+ The software is intuitive and easy to use. You don't actually need to leave the software running to keep the settings on the gamepad, which is not something I can say about my Logitech MX Master 2S mouse+ The LED customization is great. It's fun setting colors the way I want it. You can set the left/right grip lights, the mode light, and the home button light individually and have them solid, flash to different colors you assign it, or just turn everything off completely. You can also adjust the brightness of each light individually.+ Not only can adjust the deadzones of the sticks but you can also set the sensitivity curve in the software, which is not something i've seen in many other gamepads. This may be useful in driving games or flight games that don't have sensitivity curve adjustments in-game or in FPS games where you want fine controls for aiming.+ The charging base is surprisingly nice. The legs are metal which make it almost feel premium. What I love is that you can plug the charging base straight into your computer's USB port and then plug the wireless dongle into the base and your computer will recognize it. This is actually more useful than it may seem because you can see the activity lights on the dongle when it's syncing up to the controller, so it's better to have the dongle out in the open instead of being hidden behind the computer in a USB port.+ When the controller is charging on the base, there is a nice little trailing LED effect on the controller and on the base. It will flash red, yellow, or green depending on on the state of charge. All the lights will eventually turn off once it's done charging completely, which is good because I don't want to be distracted by the lights when I sleep.+ Has a headphone port, but this is not something I use.+ Works great with BOTH PC and the Switch 2 (I regularly switch back and forth between the two systems).+ Silky smooth sticks. Feels frictionless when circling them on the rim. Zero snapback. +/- Aggressively textured grip on the top and bottom of where you grip. The texture is much more aggressive (more bite) than on the XB controller. It feels very secure and great with sweaty palms, but I wish the texture was more subtle; somewhere in between the two.+/- I wish you customize the LED colors for each mode that you switch to, but it doesn't look like you can do this.+/- The bottom has 6 screwholes in it, which you rarely notice, but i thought i'd mention it since the XB controller has 0 exposed screwholes which makes it feel more seamless.+/- I have not had any long game sessions to really test out the batteries. I only game about 2-3 hours max each session before I charge it up again.- First impression upon holding it is that the frame/body feels cheap and hallow. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe its the type of plastic they use or maybe just the way they texture the surface. Thankfully, it feels very rigid with no flex, so this doesn't affect gameplay. But it is more creaky sounding when you give it a good twist (vs the XB controller).- The R4/L4 paddle buttons on the bottom feel and sound especially cheap and hallow. The other buttons though seem about on par with the XB controller. While I appreciate having these buttons, I hate activating the R4/L4 buttons by accident. Fortunately, it can be disabled in the software.- There is no dedicated switch to change between different devices (ie. PC and Switch) and no visual indicator to show what device mode it's currently in. This means you have press-and-hold a combination of buttons to do the switching ("Home + X" to switch to PC, or "Home + Y" for the Switch). If it were me, I would design it so that the Mode button also changes the device (since there is already a dedicated Mode button).Overall, i think this is a really great value and good looking controller. It does feel cheap like everyone says, but you barely notice it during actual use.

1st Day Ownership review - will edit if necessaryI came from a Gamesir G7 SE - prior to that a Gulikit KK2 Pro, prior to that SEVERAL different brands / types of "XBOX" controllers.Pros:¤ Mappable buttons with "on the fly" profile buttons¤ Back "paddles" (buttons)¤ Sticks are adequately tensioned, and the grips are some of the best I've used on the thumbsticks.¤ Triggers can be swapped from click to linear.¤ FAR faster return to zero than hall effect sticks from what I can tell, resulting in less "accidental backflips in rocketleague when fast aerial'ing.¤ Software customization for stick linearity, and curve, and RAW mode support)¤ 1kHz over wireless with included dongle, and over wired without need for funky setup like the G7 SE had.)Cons:¤ Wired I can't seem to get XInput to work with it for stick polling test, so I think it uses DirectInput for wired.¤ Included USB cable is a fkn JOKE compared to the one that comes with the G7 SE (it's just your standard 3ft pvc jacketed cord whereas the G7 SE had a braided USB-C cable that's lasted 2 years with no issues yet.)¤ Thumbstick grip is a LITTLE TOO aggressive and is very "distracting" when playing with it initially, but I'll wear them down and warm up to them.¤ Sticks don't seem to be easy to swap out like they are with the G7 SE / other controllers. I've tried giving them a DECENT tug and they're going NOWHERE.¤ ABXY buttons have a VERY short throw compared to any other controller I've used, and as a result have completely altered my gameplay for the time being until I adapt to them.¤ Mode switch lock for the triggers is embedded INTO them and is a royal pain to manuever if you don't have long nails.¤ Back buttons can't be physically locked into the "off" position like they can on the G7 SE and are distracting when you move the controller and your finger sinks in more than you expect it to if you don't use them. Adaptation time will be required to convert to new grip method.Overall thoughts:In a lot of ways this controller's DEFINITELY an upgrade over the G7 SE. Faster return to zero, more accurate sticks, and micr-switch buttons generally have an EXPECTED longer lifespan than membrane rubber with conductive coating.However, the lack of ability to physically lock the back buttons was a HUGE oversight, and had I known they couldn't I probably never would've purchased this.The wired and wireless (with dongle, haven't tested bluetooth and have no intention to) both having 1kHz polling and similar (if not the same) response frequency in terms of input to action is GREAT and a HUGE bonus over the corded predecessor.The charging dock doesn't really "hold" the controller. it more just "rests inside small grooves and the metal pins hold it in place" which was a large oversight, too.All in all, if I had KNOWN the back buttons couldn't be locked I wouldn't have bought it, but that would've been likely the ONLY reason.

I wanted a controller that could do both PC and Switch gaming. I was considering a racing wheel, but I decided on a gamepad because it would be less cumbersome and I could use it for other games. That was the right choice! Unboxing this product, I was surprised by the textured grip, I almost wanted to put it back in the box because I'm not used to it, but I decided to try it anyway. The buttons and D-pad are clicky like a mouse. Also different from other controllers I have used but with the gaming volume turned up and focusing on the game, you don't notice it at all. Racing games that I struggled with on an old controller or keyboard, I instantly improved my performance in game with this pad.This is an excellent quality controller, the look and feel and function is exceptional. The metal charging stand with built-in USB port for the wireless dongle is amazing, the rumble is perfect and never annoying, it just makes playing games so much fun and now I'm looking at bringing old games out of the archives just to relive some childhood memories!

I highly recommend this controller. Joystick movement is smooth and doesn't stick. the buttons are well placed, and the dual click modes on the triggers make multi clicking so fast. The response rate is fast, great GRB light options as well. The docking station is good quality and fast charging.
