They are one of my favorite purchases. They are bright, they create a lovely ambiance to the room and the wake up lighting feature has made my mornings more pleasant. I have no regrets. I look forward to the morning light. I and the low light in the evenings. I enjoy how they compliment my other hue lights to create lighting scenes to make my room more enjoyable. This has been a mood booster. They work perfectly and were very easy to set up.

The media could not be loaded. Button stopped working the first day I got it!Update:Well, after reseting it through the app, it appears to be working again. I suspect it's me trying to set it up in HomeAssistant using Zigbee caused the issue, but that's still not an excuse for it to stop working. The lamp looks beautiful and all but doesn't have too much functionality. It would be a decent gift for your loved one. Re-rate it a 4-star.

Hi! I'm big into Apple: an AppleTV 4k, HomePods and HomePods mini, and more. So when I came across this and it was suggested I could use the AppleTV as the hub, and it would then work via HomeKit, I was intrigued. Then reviews I stumbled across suggested it might have a built in battery (does not), noting the cord disconnects (at the base of the wall plug-in, not the device, and uses one of those proprietary cords and not a standard USBC).It's a fine device, it connected bluetooth fine (had some troubles as I misplaced the manual and online instructions weren't as clear as desired). But not being able to figure out how to get it working as a smart device, finding it won't work for me as a mobile lamp in case of power outages and such, it really wasn't a fit for me. Do your research, get a Philips Hue hub, and it's probably an excellent device for many, just not me.

I have four hue bridges, 100’s of Phillips Hue products so I feel confident in my ability to review this product honestly and without biased.As all Hue products due, this architecturally adorable but modern fixture, pairs seamlessly into the app and looks great once it does.I use it in my office for the “morning arousal” feature as I already have my bedroom setup to awaken by the sun naturally…however, the situation changes during the seasons of PNW.So what’s REALLY awesome and I’ve not seen this amazing functionality on ANY other hue product except for the Hue wireless wall switches…is that you can pre programmed or default scenes by the unnoticeable, unobtrusive soft bottoms of the top of the lamp neck as well as adjusting power and brightness.This makes it an exceptional lamp for areas where turning it on , off, changing the scene without using the app or voice control is desired. Or maybe , you don’t even have the HUE eco system, yet.The mix of materials make a subtle statement that’s not noticeable until it is and I’ve found the build quality to be exceptional, and the button functionality even more so.Crafting a myriad of colors and scenes for a calming and soothing effect or awakening and energetic feel this lamp is a spectacle to the body.*DISCLAIMER* All feedback and reviews provided are that of my own and not influenced by outside sources or third party(ies). Philips is a good brand, but this just does not hit the mark at all. First off, if you do not have a Philips hub, this device will not work with bluetooth or wifi. This fact is so hidden, it is only mentioned in one place on the box. The manual they give you is a joke. There is not instructions on how to use the device, there is no link to download the app you have to use. I download the Philips app, and tried to add the device. Since there was no instructions, I was clueless as to why the device was not found. It was because I needed the hub.In order to get the full features of this, you will to buy another device on top of the very large price tag for this. I can not recommend this light, even if it does look nice. I got this for the smart capabilities and it now a useless light that I won't be using.

I have about 30 hue products and have been an avid collector for over 10 years. This is the first hue product to truly disappoint me. Feels like it cost about $30 to manufacture yet cost almost $400 CAD after taxes and shipping. Features are lacklustre. I will be returning it .
Expensive, but worth it.
Expensive, but worth it. The built-in sleep/wake functions are great, but the mood light combinations available by having lights on the back and front of this make it really worthwhile. My wife really isn't into this stuff at all and has always stuck with a non-smart bedside lamp but as soon as she saw this she went 'ooh that's nice - I want one of those!'
Nice though overpriced for plastic
You cannot go wrong with Philips Hue lighting. Great quality in light and experience. The 3 out of 5 rating is due to the price for this product. The plastic lamp doesn’t feel like it’s worth the steep price. If they bring the price down to $150, then it would be worth it. Not over $300 for plastic.
