Does not leak when stored in the charged vessel over night. I did this to ensure extra carbonation and seemed to seal well in comparison to other soda stream reviews I have read. Definitely recommend if that kind of good seal is what somebody was going for.Any other fair priced one I seen had a bad review about the seal leaking. This one did not have any reviews so I tried my luck on this brand. Worth the money, as of yet.

This product is the worst. I have owned a different brand and never had an issue with it until it was several years old (7 years at least). We started using this a month or so ago and it leaks all over the refrigerator. I have tried it several times now. I decided to give it one more try and now it is spewing out rusty water as well as leaking. To top it off the return window is long gone.Waste of money!

Believe it or not, this actually can be fitted to several vintage glass steel lined soda/seltzer bottles from the 1930s to 1950s! It fit a gorgeous soda king perfectly. If the old seals went bad long ago...just use this one to replace the mechanism entirely.

The cannister is very heavy and high quality metal. The top is plastic, which I don't like, but I could not see any other option for new siphons. But it is heavy plastic, and for plastic, it's high quality. The cap that holds the cartridge is metal. The straw and internal parts are plastic.The color coating is good and seems permanent. It's not paint, but maybe some kind of metallurgic coating.It comes with silicone ice trays. They are OK. It's hard to fill them to the top, and it's hard to keep them sealed, but when they work, they make nice round ice cubes. I use a toaster oven tray to keep them stable and rub a little olive oil on the bottom so that they don't stick to the tray once they freeze.

I was very happy with my Soda Siphon until it blew apart--twice--when I screwed in the CO2 cartridge holder. At least it was only water and I didn't have lights or a fan directly overhead.The second time I didn't screw in the piece as tightly as I had before (which, to be fair, was in the directions) and I made sure I was using the correct pressure cartridge. It worked great...... for a while until it blew apart again. If I'd been entertaining guests they would have been soaked or hit with flying parts. And now the dispenser lever doesn't work at all, so the whole thing is useless.Two stars because it's great when it works. I'm going to look at single-serve soda makers.

We got this soda siphon to replace our old soda maker and just like other reviews say, it leaks. Ours was out of the CO2 cartridge hole. It happened the first time of use after my husband removed the cartridge. Since then, I mostly keep the cartridge on. The one time I took it off, it did not leak, but since its already leaking at that part, I don't want to risk it. It also dribbles from the water dispersing side after use. Trick is to shake it after use, just like a man peeing, and make sure all of the water comes out of the spout before putting her away.All in all, it works, but isn't perfect. Miss my old soda maker, but they don't make them anymore... :(

It doesn't come with cartridge. No mention on the description that it doesn't have any cartridges at all. Not even 1 to test the product is working. If you are going to buy this then ensure you order some 8g threadless cartridges so you can start using. Overall looks solid but unable to test it at this time.
Disappointing - Looks Great But It Stops There.
I was disappointed with this syphon because it doesn't really do 'what it says on the tin'. It looks great, which is what attracted me, but it stops there. It seems to leak Co2 because the carbonated water it produces has only the suggestion of bubbles before it goes flat....and that from the first squirt. If the siphon is left for any time, there are no noticeable bubbles. I followed the instructions to the letter, varied the amount of water in the thing and even added Bicarbonate of Soda (measured and suggested amount) but to no avail. It was virtually flat soda water. Annoyingly, it drips messily after squirting as well. Very disappointed and will be returning as not fit for purpose.
