The temperature control is super easy and it gets to the right temperature very quickly. For anyone concerned, the stand it comes with does not get hot (despite being some kind of metal) if it comes into contact with the tool, while the tool is hot. Item arrived on time exactly as described, 5/5 stars!

This soldering iron and tips work great for smoothing joints in multi-part prints, slicing into prints, and setting heat-set inserts. I like the adjustable temperature, and the tips are very similar to the tips I use on my FX888-D. the power cord feels a little thin and wimpy but hasn't been a problem so far. The unit also feels slightly on the cheap side, but for the price and it's intended use I don't think that's an issue.

This is a comprehensive kit combining a high power soldering iron with heat set insert tips and a few smoothing tools. I own several very nice soldering irons, but I am really hesitant to use them for tasks like these where residue could get stuck on the iron; this kit gives me a beefy 80W iron with temperature control, so I can be confident I'm setting the inserts consistently wtihout worrying about residue on my normal iron.Technically, this kit also includes a regular soldering tip, so if you don't mind waiting for it to cool and changing the tips back and forth, this could be a dual purpose kit. I don't choose to use it that way, and I think this is almost too powerful for precision soldering on its own, but theoretically as long as you are careful about setting the temp on the screen back and forth, this could be a way to add a secondary iron to your collection fairly easily and cheaply.I'm intrigued by the smoothing tools and I'm excited to try them on a future 3D print - for now, I've been using the other functionality of the kit, but will update this review once I find out how well the smoothing works.All in all, a nice set for the price.

I do a lot of 3D modelling and as soon as I saw this, I ordered one to try it out. Have to say, it's been a great tool to use with my models. There are several tip options for smoothing out your work, or making scoring lines, or welding...so many options. I appreciate the LCD temp display on the handle itself...it makes it very functional and easy to use. The size of the unit is nice - like working with a magic market. Good value here for your spend for all the things it offers.

I got a chance to test out this 3D print smoothing tool kit from Sardvisa. I found this to be really helpful in smoothing out the portions of 3D prints which were above supports.The core of this is a pretty typical temperature-adjustable AC-plug-in soldering iron. You can unscrew and remove the soldering tip and replace it with their threaded tip. That then allows you to use one of their many size/shape smoothing tools. You can also use it to add heat-set inserts into your prints. I haven't tried that yet, but it looks straightforward.They include a decent soldering iron stand. There are also some other little things like tweezers and sanding stick.I am pleased with this. It has come in handy on a few items where the supports removed leaving some ugliness--this allowed me to smooth out those long filament streaks and make them much less noticeable. I think this is fairly priced for what it offers. I'm glad to have it in my toolbox.
