I found it best to use slightly more than 3/4 cup of batter. Fill the side that says to fill first, flip, fill the second side and flip back. Watching the ready light helps, but be aware that the side you poured second needs to cook until it's light changes. I watched for steaming to stop, too. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be making great waffles! Easy clean up, too!

Not overly impressed with this. It is heavy duty however it was cumbersome to use. Cleaning was a bit of a challenge, handling wise. Gave it 4 stars as it could be in part user preference and / or not that great at using a double one.

I have wanted a flip waffle maker forever and this is easy to use and does the job nicely. Seems well built, heats quickly, and does not stick. Does the job flawlessly..Packaging was well done and I do not see it breaking in transport.I would recommend this product at the price point of $45-65I received this product for review. I was not paid for my opinion, I have not been contacted by the seller, and my opinion is my own honest opinion for better or worse. The only difference between my normal reviews and my Vine reviews, are I try to go more in depth out of courtesy for others and in respect of the program itself. I also still have to pay taxes, actually use the product, and spend time writing this. I borrowed this initial format from another vine program reviewer, but did not get his name so whomever you are, thank you!!! My impression overall of the vine program as since the sellers know we are free to leave our honest opinion, they believe in their products before putting them into the program!! I say this because I have appreciated the quality of products I have received and the few that I had problems with, I think could be better with minor corrections.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Overall Rating★ - Product is in dire need of improvements before it is worth purchasing. This double waffle iron works well and produces tasty waffles. I used a boxed Belgian waffle mix that I've used before for the first trial waffles. Following the instructions, I first cleaned the waffle irons plate using a soft, non-abrasive sponge with soapy water. Then I followed that up with a folded dish cloth and a plastic knife to dry and wipe every slot on both sets of grids. It was tedious, but necessary!After it was clean, I preheated it, then added some cooking spray to help the non-stick surface release the waffles. I did not add any more cooking spray as I cooked. I started with two "sacrificial" waffles to be sure the cooking surfaces were completely clean and to test to see how much batter is needed per waffle. The plastic drip tray that goes under the turning portion of the iron is a nice extra. It turned out to be useful as I was testing for the right amount of batter.I was surprised at how quickly the waffles cooked! The waffles were lightly browned, but soft with one cycle of the power light. If you want crisp waffles you will need to cook the waffles for a bit longer. I allowed an extra three minutes and the waffles were crisp, but not too brown. After a bit of experimenting, I found that just over 3/4ths cup of batter worked well for me. There is a printed label directly on the lid that shows which side should be up to start (or for a single waffle). I will probably add a mark using a permanent marker just in case the label ink fades.The Yabano double waffle iron produces great Belgian waffles, evenly cooked, in a short amount of time. It's great for serving waffles to a group since it cooks two at once. With a reasonable amount of care it should last a long time. I give it five stars.

Would have been a 3.5, rounded up. We have used this a few times now and overall, it's ok. It does feel a bit cheap and doesn't sit even, so it feels wobbly when turning. There is no power light on one side of the griddle that can flip, so that's a bit annoying. It does what it needs to do and the waffles we have made were very tasty. I do also really like that it makes two waffles at once.
Eating quicker together! :)

Makes effortless professional waffles just like the restaurant. My s/o loves his Father’s Day gift, works like a dream and makes a family of four x2 the plates at a time having us all eat together in no time. They also include a pamphlet with delicious recipes to try, we made the banana waffle recipe, turned out amazing. Two thumbs up! :)
Solid, fairly even heating
This is a good quality double-plated waffle maker, both in build quality and cooking efficiency. Although, the plate parts do wobble a bit as the parts aren't perfectly fitting, but I don't expect this given its retail price point. As opposed to another reviewer, the iron plate dome on mine sits perfectly leveled on both rotation sides when closed.The non-stick plates are indeed non-stick and very easy to clean by wiping with wet clothe.At 1400W, it heats up and bakes fast. I love the ability to rotate the plates so that the runny batter would flow & fill evenly inside the plates. Also, looking at the toasted parts on the surface of the waffles, it looks to be heating quite evenly, but still exhibits some hotspots just off-center, but times better vs. another brand that I have.The very first time I used it, it gave off a bit of burnt plastic/chemical smell, but after letting it heat for a few cycles, the smell was completely gone.
The best thing to have in the kitchen
I am happy with this waffle maker. It is heavy-duty, strong, and durable.The waffle maker is the perfect thing for me now. I love the 360-degree rotation feature.It heats quickly and makes perfect-quality waffles. I love the double-sided effect. This allows me to spend less time in the kitchen. The non-stick cooking plates prevent waffles from sticking, making them easy to remove.The waffle maker is packaged well and is giftable.
