Works great with Steam. To use motion controls, you have to use Bluetooth. The 2.4 dongle isn't compatible sadly. The fact that the dongle is stored, hidden & plugs into the dock, which in turn plugs into your PC is pretty cool.I use this controller every day. I find it destroys the competition at similar, and even higher price points. I have a minor issue of occasionally losing a connection with Bluetooth, but feel that is more of a Windows issue than an 8 Bitdo issue. It does not happen often.I use this controller on a large variety of games, from side scrollers to FPS. It works great for everything. The motion controls are as accurate as a mouse. I do recommend setting a button to dampen the motion controls so you can reset your hands, etc.Worth the money.

Note that I'm using the usb connect and not Bluetooth.The controller seems to charge quickly. Have not used it in a marathon session to see how long the battery lasts though.The controller immediately connects upon removal from the charging dock and disconnects when placed on the dock.Have not had it disconnect or lag while playing and the controller is very responsive. Note that the controller turns itself off if you put it down and don't touch it for a while. A simple press of the home button and you are instantly connected again.The controller has good weight to it and does not feel flimsy at all.If I ever feel the need for a second controller for local multi-player, I will definitely buy another one.

Overall, the 8bitdo ultimate 2 is a great premium controller. The poll rate is high, the design and build is solid, and the feel is premium. The controller beta firmware supports native Steam input which is great for allowing independent mapping of the grip buttons and L4/R4 extra bumper buttons to any command i wanted (including non controller commands like keyboard buttons). For me, that was the main selling point as so many other controllers required controller software to bind commands to extra buttons, and those were limited to normal controller commands.The buttons themself feel clicky which I like, but some may find that annoying. The other thing that may not be for all people is the grips are fairly parallel compared to the more upside "V" shape of other controller grips. For some, that ergonomics may or may not be comfortable. As someone that games a lot on a steam deck, I personally don't find the narrower grip orientation to be a problem at all.The controller quality is great, the charging base just works and has an attractive light indicator for charging. The software to configure the controller is also easy and functional.There are not many controllers that match the build quality and functionality at this competitive price point. And if you have any issues, the Aknes team is great support on their discord or on Reddit.

The wireless connectivity range of the 2.4g, It's exactly what I was looking for, I am able to plug my computer in upstairs and connect everything with wireless connectivity downstairs and play seamlessly with my wife on our couch together. I can't promise that the range would work for everyone, but for me at only around 30 ft. Plus a wall it works perfectly.

8bitdo is amazing as ever. Controller works perfectly with windows and Linux running batocera. The color is wonderful. Grip feels good not to big or small. Highly recommend this product!

Pros: Where to start. The controller has been awesome to use. I really have been enjoying everything so far with it. I love that I have TMR joysticks I love how on the fly you could change the trigger settings. Also I appreciate the convenience of having a charger mount for the controller for after im done playing it can always be charged and ready for the next session. That was super awesome. Price. I was looking for something that wasn’t gonna break my bank anymore. And the price is a no brainer, it’s super fair or maybe beyond fair for what you get.Cons: Now the cons of the controller which is only a few for me. The thing I don’t really like to much is the feel of the controller. It feels a little cheap with the plastic of the controller. I also came from Scuf, Battlebeaver, Xbox Elite and Flydigi controllers. So I could be a little jaded. But compared to those, this controller feels cheap. Now onto the software, the software is very basic, also getting it installed was very weird and it’s not like an official app. It’s in files and you pretty much have to find it on your pc. Also the file/app is very basic. There really isn’t much customization compared to other brands I have used. I wish they had more things to use in there app to make it to anyone’s preferences for certain games. Its pretty much to sum it up is customizable mapping for your extra buttons and adjustable trigger activation and joystick activation. And a few rgb color settings. That’s pretty much it.Finally thoughts: It’s worth the price, it’s simple and good enough to compete with. You get a lot for what you pay for.

Fue un regalo para mí hermano y ha funcionado perfectamente en su PC.
El mejor, pero solo para Windows o Android.
¿Quién a día de hoy no conoce esta marca? Una marca muy top en cuanto a materiales de construcción y funcionamiento, nada que envidiar a otras grandes marcas conocidas, eso sí, precio muy similares entre ellos, pero que estos, no dan los conocidos problemas de drift.Dispone de todos los controles que uno puedo necesitar además de cuatro botones extra configurables y la opción de poner los gatillos RT y LT en modo analógico o de pulsación única independiente uno del otro gracias a sus swich traseros.Sin embargo, no todo es oro lo que reluce, se menciona como compatible con Windows, Android y steam deck, la cual, con steam deck, me sorprendió ver que funcionaba correctamente en los menús, pero al entrar en Minecraft instalado a través de prism, ese no respondía al control.Me dispuse a investigar, y a actualizar su software mediante la aplicación descargable desde su página web sin resultados positivos. Conecte con soporte para ver si existía una solución, y su solución fue que ese modelo era únicamente compatible con Windows y Android, dejando fuera steam deck, la cual funcionar, funciona, pero en determinados juegos, al ser emulados con la plataforma prism, ese, queda fuera de su compatibilidad.Así pues, es un excelente mando si se va a usar en Android o Windows, de lo contrario, recomiendo otros modelos de la marca.

Good multifunction controller, better software would be nice.
Works great with my PC, including gamepass, works on steam deck too (even on a Windows partition, but not via Bluetooth, only dongle). Software wasn't the easiest and it flags up as potential malware and the instructions to set up profiles aren't great. Hall effect joysticks are OK, though I did move the deadzone to zero though the app. Triggers are OK, not quite like the xbox ones (which I prefer). That said, very good controller without spending too much. Doesn't work with Xbox, not that it's supposed to, but it definitely doesn't. Also the dongle is hidden in the bottom of the stand and can be removed it you want to travel lighter. And it fits inside an Xbox Elite case.

Good multifunction controller, better software would be nice.
Works great with my PC, including gamepass, works on steam deck too (even on a Windows partition, but not via Bluetooth, only dongle). Software wasn't the easiest and it flags up as potential malware and the instructions to set up profiles aren't great. Hall effect joysticks are OK, though I did move the deadzone to zero though the app. Triggers are OK, not quite like the xbox ones (which I prefer). That said, very good controller without spending too much. Doesn't work with Xbox, not that it's supposed to, but it definitely doesn't. Also the dongle is hidden in the bottom of the stand and can be removed it you want to travel lighter. And it fits inside an Xbox Elite case.
