It seems like a lot of lower reviews are people who have either an iPhone 16 or the latest Samsung device saying it isn't working correctly, but for me, it was directly plug and play ready.I use this for gameboy emulators and just play pokemon on it. For this, it's perfect. There is no input delay or misinputs, it connects instantly, and the pass-through charging is amazing! If you plan to use this on emulators, especially ones that let you adjust the keybindings on controllers, this is an easy choice.NOTE: I have only just received the device a day ago, but have already put a couple of hours in with it and it's been great. I will follow up if something fails, but as of now, it's been great.Pros:Ready to go out of the boxCompatible with most cases, the grips by the port can be swapped out to adjust for multiple scenariosPass-through charging works great, although it disconnects the controller for a single moment during the transitionGrips feel solidVery lightSolid button presses and grips on the sticksAbility to turn the light off (hold the menu and "A" button for 5 seconds) It also remembers this setting for the next time you plug it in!Ability to control volume (hold light button and up or down on directional pad)Charger port swivels so connecting and disconnecting feels smoothCons:Swivel charger port feels fragile. Hopefully it's stronger than it feels, but it does make me a bit nervousPass through port also feels fragile, but it does click into place. It just feels like it may fall into the controller if I push too hardNothing else right now, and these cons are only speculation right now, but will update as I continue to use itOverall, it seems most of the negative reviews are about it not working with their phone. If it works with your phone, it seems like the perfect accessory controller. Theres no battery, so you never have to charge it, it just uses your phones power (doesn't seem to use much). For $35, if you don't have an iPhone 16 or the latest Samsung phone, JUST GET IT!

Great controller for the price. However I did return it for a couple reasons.1. The controller doesn’t work with Wuthering Waves on iOS. There’s a workaround where if you plug another controller into the device and get controller functionality to work then disconnect that controller and quickly plug the X5 lite in, it works just fine. Really strange imo.2. The handles and thumb sticks are a little small for my hands. It’s really nice looking and initially feels great but I noticed my hands getting slightly worn out when using this for a couple hours. Not even bad just slightly noticeable.Overall I actually really liked this controller. If it wasn’t for it not working with WuWa I would’ve kept it. It works with ZZZ and Xbox cloud gaming flawlessly which is nice. I have a 16 Pro Max and it’s a perfect fit to me. Super sleek looking and it would be really easy to travel with.The pass through charging is also super nice too. It was really convenient having that when playing in bed. It also snapped right in and worked. Didn’t even download the app or anything it was just ready to go.I also like how quiet the buttons are. I got the Gamesir G8 Galileo (which is how I found out about the work around to get this controller to work on WuWa) and the buttons are noticeably louder on that controller over this one. Triggers, ABXY buttons and the D-pad are all really enjoyably quiet on this controller.I would definitely recommend if you’re either on a budget, don’t play WuWa on mobile or just want something compact to carry around. This things gonna end up being the Backbone killer. Totally worth it!

So you want to get a controller for your phone or (small) tablet to play games like Zenless Zone Zero or for emulation - and you notice that most of the top controllers are close to a hundred bucks? Here's a budget option that will let you see if controller gaming on your phone is right for you WITHOUT breaking the bank.This controller lists for only thirty five - and can sometimes be had cheaper. It comes with Hall-effect sticks (so they won't develop stick drift over time) and the usual array of buttons: home, start/select, L1/L2 R1/R2, and a D-pad. The sticks click for L3 and R3 - but since this is a budget controller you'll find a few features missing here: There are no extra programmable buttons here and the L2/R2 are just digital buttons and NOT analog triggers. For many games the lack of analog triggers is not an issue, but you may miss having analog triggers if you're into emulating certain systems or playing racing games. For what I usually play, L2/R2 being digital doesn't present a problem.The sticks are smaller than on premium controllers, but testing them out with some FPS gaming they're precise and responsive - taller and definitely a better feel than the "switch sticks" found in some cheaper controllers. Face buttons (membrane) are responsive and not overly loud - no real complaints there. I prefer a "clickier" d-pad ... this one's a little soft for me but works fine. The ergonomic bumps feel good in my hands and have some texture so the controller's not too slippery.The controller is quite light - a little hollow/cheap feeling, but that doesn't really affect how it works and might actually be a benefit for carrying it around. There are no vibration motors/haptics (again ... budget controller), but most phones have vibration themselves if it's really important to have vibration for something. Pass-through charging is supported, though it will charge your phone slower than a direct connection. Mostly useful if you are gaming and don't want to stop to recharge your phone. There is no headphone jack - so you're using your phone speakers or Bluetooth for sound here.The one weak point I see is the USB-C connection flexes up and down. This is actually a feature of the controller to supposedly make it easier to connect phones in cases, but it creates a point of failure as the connector is held on by some plastic pins which can break (this has happened to me on another more expensive Gamesir controller with the same feature).Overall, I recommend this controller. It doesn't have the fancy features of the more expensive options, but it does its job well and for far less money.

Better than my Galileo G8 plus

It's in between the Gamesir X2s and Galileo G8 plus. The G8 was too heavy and the X2s felt a bit too cramp but the Gamesir X5 lite feels like the best of both worlds in terms of weight and comfort. I like this wayy better than my g8 plus, which i found a bit too heavy and bulky.

I couldn't recommend this item more. It far exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy I bought this instead of one with batteries* Small and light* Great build quality* Cheap* Everything just works!I bought it specifically for fortnite on Android. I was expecting to have to install some app and map keys and a bunch of other hassle. Instead I literally just plugged my phone it, and it worked immediately. No app, no mapping etc. Controls in fortnite are exactly the same as on my PS5. Passthrough charging if needed. I literally can't find a single thing to complain about.

Great for when the missus wants to use the tv

Easy to use and connect instantly recognise by my s24 ultra even with the issues that been happening with xbox controllers and android at the moment they work perfectly, you do need a slimmer case, but the ability to remove spacers for the usb c port allow you to adjust to you case sizes. The pass through charge is fantastic meaning you can play non stop I would still rocomend a 45° cable just to keep your pinky a bit more comfortable when charging

Dieser Controller ist absolut genial. Auspacken, die Polsterungen im Innenleben so montieren, dass der Anschluss am Handy passt, Handy einschieben und los geht's. Ich hasse Spiele am Handy zu spielen, da mir einfach die Steuerung per Touch absolut gegen den Strich geht. Ich brauche etwas haptisches. Mit diesem Controller macht das Zocken am Handy einfach nur Bock. Habe die offizielle App noch nicht ausprobiert und benutze stattdessen Mantis, aber auch hier geht alles kinderleicht und Spiele wie Diablo oder Solo Leveling erkennen den Controller komplett nativ ohne Fummelei. Geil. Ich wünschte das Ding wäre etwas günstiger, ansonsten ist alles top, kann ich nur empfehlen. Fühlt sich auch in der Hand sehr gut an, als hätte man ein Handheld in den Händen.
