When summer comes around, regardless if my pool's water chemistry is balanced, there's still these pesky white flakes floating around. When my pump is off, the white flakes settle to the bottom of the pool. I've used a pool robot to clean the bottom, but the flakes would scatter whenever the robot came too close due to the water currents so the robot wasn't that effective although it did pick up dirt, some of the white flakes and leaves. After 1 1/2 years, my robot died and I thought I'd try something new.Well, I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. Yes, it looks like a dust buster from the 1980s, yes, you do need to do some work by "vacuuming" the pool floor, BUT, it's GREAT at picking up those settled white flakes and you can push the vacuum slowly without disturbing the white flakes. The motor is a bit heavy and it can be a little awkward to position the vacuum properly against the walls and in between crevices, BUT it so does the job very efficiently. The first day, I picked up a ton of the white flakes, MULTIPLES of what my robot could do. I was so surprised by the performance and ease that I had to write a review, which I don't do often (but should).The great thing about doing this manually, is that I know that these white flakes aren't clogging up my filters and being recirculated in the pool. I've used this about 4 times and my pool is so much cleaner, free of those pesky white flakes.Some have complained that the pole isn't long enough? Well, they do allow you to put your own pole on the unit so if you have a long pool, then use it. I appreciate that they had an included pole so I don't have to keep switching back and forth the poles.Hoping that this last a few years, but recognize that the motor does such a great job sucking up debris, that the lifespan may depend on how much and what it sucks up.

Works better than advertised!When is the last time you heard that, if ever?I received boxed very nicely. It was heavier than I expected but it looks like one of those old Dust Busters on TV. I started it charging and it took at least a couple of hours but I didn't monitor it closely. I put it together with ease but be careful to find and read the instructions for the included foam insert. The foam insert was the best part for my cleaning of the pool. It catches small dust/powder like a magnet. I can use it to "vacuum" the stairs and the curves of the pool that the Polaris misses consistently. The included telescoping handle is great too. I have used it once already and the motor was powerful and I used it for about 30 minutes straight and it never sagged or lost power. It's easy to clean the filter and the foam insert with a water hose. It is a bit "plasticy" and feels like if I dropped it on the concrete that it would easily crack but it works great. I hang mine up in the garage for safe keeping. This won't replace my Polaris cleaner but it is a great accessory to clean up smaller leaves, rocks, and especially dirt in the pool. Recommended!

After purchasing several pool vacs I figured this would also be a "one and done" - WRONG!! After losing my cover past winter, my pools was a mess!!! This little guy does an amazing job. I have a smaller pool vac I connect to the hose. One that I hook to the pump - no good. A a robot one that quit working after 3 times but not this one!!! It is so easy to operate, not heavy, easy to clean and gets 95% of the nasties sitting on the pool floor. The only little mishap I had was the foam filter, which, when I contacted the seller, they promptly sent me a replacement. Customer service is great! After being fully prepared to be disappointed..again.. it is nice to have my pool all clean with my little buddy.

After charging for a few hours, we put this vacuum to work.Thus far, it seems to work well. The vacuum glides on the swimming pool floor and vacuums the sand that has accumulated on the bottom of the pool.BUT!The pole is too short, even when fully extended. One has to bend all the way to reach the farthest part of the pool. If our pool were any larger, this won't work because its range is quite limited. As it is, we'll have to get another pole, tie it firmly to this vacuum's pole so that we can extend its reach. The problem is, once the pool is cleaned, we'll have to untie the extension pole in order to put the vacuum cleaner away. And that adds another chore.Wish the manufacturers provided an extra extension pole.

I purchased this handheld vacuum to supplement our main pool robot, which takes a few hours to complete a full clean. This unit has been a great solution for quick spot cleaning in between deep cleans. It easily picks up leaves and other plant debris, especially in shallow areas. While it can be a bit harder to maneuver in deeper water, it still gets the job done with a little patience.One pleasant surprise has been the battery life—it consistently lasts longer than advertised, which is a big plus. While I wouldn't rely on it as the sole pool vacuum, it’s an excellent tool for touch-ups and quick maintenance. For the price, it's absolutely worth it.

I bought this for my swim spa. I found that the dirt that settles at the bottom of the pool was not being picked up with the normal filtration. This worked great! It has a telescopic handle so that I can use it without getting into the pool, but I could also use it in the pool. It easily picked up all the debris and the water looked less cloudy too. It is not too heavy to lift in and out of the pool either. The trap is easy to empty and picked up very small debris as well as larger debris likes leaves. I was worried about the suction power on a cordless vacuum, but it worked very well.
