They are micro click and they are absolutely instant. I can say it definitely made a difference in FPS games, especially when using a semi automatic option.The back buttons are the main reason I gave this controller a try because after being a long time elite series 2 user, I fell in love with the feel of the dual sense edge, but really missed having 4 back buttons with 1 finger per trigger. These are placed in a very ergonomic way such that it feels just as comfortable as my elite series 2, though I wish they were slightly harder to press as they are a little on the sensitive side.I have narrowed my extensive controller search to the Vader 4 pro and this. Each has its pros and cons, but I think the phantom beats the Vader 4 pro in just about every way. The elephant in the room is the price. Do I think the phantom is 3x better than the Vader 4 pro? Definitely not. I think this controller should be priced at no more than $199.00 and it would be a fair value for money. It’s just really hard to justify the cost of 3 Vader 4 Pro controllers for just 1 of these…TL;DR: it’s an amazing controller with every feature you could want, but the price is a little steep compared to controllers like the Vader 4 Pro which includes a very similar feature set for 1/3 of the price.

If you are like me, you are tired of stick drift. I was in the market for a long time, trying to find a suitable replacement. When Sony announced the dual sense edge, I was quite excited as I LOVE the feel of the original dual sense, and did not want to change to a different controller shape for a Pro controller. BUT the lack of Hall effect sticks, plus the seemingly perpetual "out of stock" status for the joystick module, or exorbitant scalper prices seemed ridiculous. Enter the HexGaming Phantom. I watched a few youtube videos on the product - sponsored admittedly, so activate "grain of salt mode" - and decided it would still be the best try for me.Had it since just before Christmas and I am EXTREMELY happy with it.Pros - Multiple joystick options includedDrifix module included (though I Hope to not need it)the textured grip is great it FEELS like a sony ps5 controller.the positioning and functionality of the back buttonsCons - it IS pricey, but not much more than a dual sense edge, which DOESNT have hall effect sticks

Got the controller June 16th, it’s June 22nd and the left stick is broken. It registers as fully forward no matter what. The calibration tool doesn’t fix it, and the instructions and process of even using the calibration tool are terrible. In theory this is the best controller I’ve ever used but for this price, for it to break that quickly. Wow. I’ll give it one more shot, but if the replacement one breaks I’m never getting anything from this company again.

I think this is probably the best controller for the PS5. I have used several. I have had issues with stock controller batteries and joysticks. The battery issue was something with a charger I had, but the stick drift is a inherent quality issue with Sony controllers, especially if you use R3 and L3 a decent amount.After doing a lot of research and wanting a new controller with hall effect joy sticks and some back buttons I chose this one. The buttons on the back are nice, I'd prefer paddles but after a couple rounds the back buttons did feel fairly intuitive and easy to use. Then the mouse click buttons for the triggers that can be toggled on and off are amazing. The 4 back buttons with several mappings, I think 6 presets you can make, are awesome. I hope this last for longer then my prior controllers, but with the hall effect joysticks I highly doubt I'll see another stick drift issues as long as I play PS5.My only complaint is that the price is very high, you technically could upgrade a stock controller for less, but I was tired of tearing apart stock controllers to replace sticks and such. The only other issue I had was the programming of it on the PC. It is not super difficult but the video is not super intuitive and the dongle you use to calibrate the controller was wonky. My one button on the calibration device did not register clicks super easy. I did figure out how to get the one button to register.Overall, the controller is amazing so far, but the price and cheap calibration dongle knock it down slightly. I'd probably give it a 4.5/5 if I could.

The feel and overall comfort were just about the best ever. A four back button exact replica of a dualsense. But here is why I returned it, the calibration method is definitely different and not in a good way. You’re given the world’s smallest ribbon and have to insert one end into the controller and the other into a tiny box. While basically holding the one in the controller still, move a stick around then press and hold buttons on the tiny device. No thanks. There are easier and quicker methods available now and I went with one of those

After I used couple of days the right stick locked on lift area. After I emailed the company they told me the order number I pervied they didn't have it However everything else was great with this controller.

Énorme déception
Totale déception. J'en attendais énormément. La manette est arrivée avec des rayures sur les boutons et des traces de doigts. Le joystick gauche à un défaut et n'est pas fluide, ce qui rend la calibration en permanence fausse. Le trigger stop se bloque et doit être forcé pour être mis en place (ce qui annonce une durée de vie très courte...). Bref, à ce prix, c'est franchement honteux. La moindre des choses, à 289€ sans câble ni housse, c'est de fournir un produit en état totalement neuf et surtout sans défaut au déballage.
