I needed something to hold my firearms when attaching optics, cleaning and doing some maintenance and it's works great. I love that it has optional plastic clips so I don't scratch my items.

I would like to have directions on how to put the holder of round objects on the vise. There were no instructions with it.

This is a very nice small table vice. It hold my wire securely. The rubber grips keep the plates from marking the surfaces. Yesterday I braided 26 gage wire for 4 hours for a project I’m working on. It made the job so much easier.

I needed a small clamp on vice for small things. It is perfect for my needs. It is easy to use the quality is excellent. It is what I was looking for to hold things together while I solder them.

I was looking for a small bench vise to use for my model building hobby. The dynamic jaw moves to the rear of the vise when the screw is turned, like an old dovetail machinist vise which is a nice feature. This vise was just the right size (3" jaws) for what I was looking for but it has a few flaws that are hard to overlook.First the good: Heavy and well made for its size, it shouldn't move around while I'm working with it. The included soft jaw covers should help keep my parts from being scuffed or scarred by the steel jaws. The overall design is nice with a small flat anvil surface on the back and the dynamic jaw moves smoothly and freely when the screw is rotated.The not so good: The paint is chipping and sharp in a few places where the edges are not cleaned up. There are a lot of sharp or rough edges that should have been smoothed out by the factory like around the jaws and around the anvil surface. I wish it came with a surface mounting plate so you don't have to use the clamp if you don't want to. It is pictured without the table clamp in some of the product pictures.The Bad: The included screws to attach the soft jaws are too short and the holes do not line up with the tapped holes in the vise jaws. I will have to either mill these included jaws or make a new set to use. I have some extra hardware that I can search through to see if I have some longer screws but I shouldn't have to do that.Conclusion: Its an okay vise that needs some adjustments and filing to make it a good vise. If it had a few extra features it could be a great vise.
