I'm making a boombox as a father's day present, for his garage. I was not expecting much at this price point, but wow, I'm pleasantly surprised. I was originally planning on using an old Kenwood Excelon CD car stereo, but one, I wasn't going to add a battery which means the radio would reset to demo mode every time the power was lost or unplugged. It also defaults to demo mode which flashes all the colors of the rainbow. It's a fairly complicated unit to set up. I wasn't going to let my elderly father have to deal with that. I decided on this unit with the 10.1 inch screen because I read the settings are saved. My dad knows how to use his android phone, so not a huge learning curve.Ok, on to the good stuff. This Android head unit has a pretty nice screen, with good color, and nice brightness and good uniformity. That was surprise number one (brighter than my Samsung Galaxy Tab A, and it's faster too). It plays movies from a thumb drive very well (with VLC). It also streams movies flawlessly. Surprise number 2, with an amplifier, it actually sounds pretty darn good. It keeps up with the Kenwood deck. The equalizer was a surprise because it has way more than the advertised 14 bands- WAY MORE. And the equalizer doesn't distort the sound or drop the volume when you increase the EQ gains like some other units do. Plays Netflix, plus Bolo Music, Spotify and others. I haven't tested the built in amp yet, and I haven't finished the build, or playing with all the features yet, but I will update later. For now, I extremely pleased, especially for the price. I really expected something very laggy and poor sound quality. Nope. I guess these things have gotten so much better over the past couple of years.The only thing is he loses the CD player, but hey, that will be my next project- downloading his CD collection onto a thumb drive. He's behind the times. Lol

This is an insane value for a true Android 13 head unit. The unit powers on insanely quick after the initial boot/battery power loss. The wireless android auto connected easily and very quickly. Unfortunately, it does not support multiple touch for pinch to zoom and such, but if that is not a concern to you then this is possibly the best value knobless android head unit to get.

Software is not great, instructions are poor. Does not come with any sort of screen adapter so you will need to make sure that it fits exactly what you need or you’ll have to manufacture some sort of cover. The software is a little funky and not as fast as I would’ve thought eight core would be . Overall, it’s inexpensive for a 10 inch screen, but it feels like six or seven year old software. While it does appear to have a video in port, it does not have a video out or hdmi port so it’s functionality to connect to other items is a little bit less than some other models. Unable to get it to play audio from another vga device. The Bluetooth did connect to the phone and the radio worked fine although the software makes it difficult to quickly scroll.I have some questions out to the seller and will update this with any information that may be relevant.Update: after using this further, I I found more difficulties, but some solutions. On the good side customer service did respond to my question and sent me a wiring diagram, but it did not contain any instructions, and several of the diagram references were terms that did not really have any meaning or were inconsistent with other labels.They have been very quick to respond to additional questions that have helped solve some problems. The Bluetooth will connect to your phone, but only sometimes will it play. Your phone shows that it’s playing, but no sound is transferring to the stereo. Apparently one part of the solution is to go into car settings, , type in six zeros, and then turn on Bluetooth sync sound. This will at least let your phone increase and decrease the sound without having to go to the manual buttons. On other software on most other cars, there is a button that you can go find and click it to make sure that your phone is the “media” to be playing. It’s inconvenient, but on this one there doesn’t even seem to be that button so the only way I’ve been able to figure out to make it work is to reboot the phone when it doesn’t work. I will update further if I get answers to these questions from the manufacturer. There is a place for TV or other audio to connect into the stereo, but despite Support, I cannot get it to work. Still working on making this work and will update further. The back up camera takes up the entire screen and there does not appear to be away to reduce it or eliminate if you wanna use it for ongoing driving or otherwise.So far, this is frustrating.

The unit is superior than most of the $200 plus units. The equalizer is better than most stuck equalizers. I am happy with the unit. Easy to install and configure.

Doesn't work with bluetooth ODB2 readers, backup camera only 60 degrees, false advertising.
Good: Fast boot, great sound, steering wheel control learning worksBad: Bluetooth app filters out non phone devices, so I can't pair my ELM 327 ODB2 reader. Backup camera is useless, only 60 degree field of view measured, not 170 as advertised.
