Since the beginning of the retail revolution, gridwall has been a staple of the Everyman retailer … just trying to make a living, displaying his product in an organized fashion to the discerning customer … one who may never see the product if it isn’t hanging on a standard 6 inch gridwall hook …. Standard dimensions … ones that haven’t changed since the advent of this glorious display tool ….SO standard is the sizing of gridwall hooks, one would think that a company engaged in the business of selling them would never have a problem with their product actually fitting on a standard piece or gridwall … yet here we are …Due to catastrophic unforeseen circumstances too dark to mention here, we traveled to one of our busiest shows of the year without our ample supply of said standard size gridwall hooks and were forced to order an emergency supply of them in support of Jeff Bezos vision of colonizing the moon and the nearly one million employees of his whose aggregate salary almost equal that of their former boss and company founder ….You could imagine our joy when the package showed up on time as promised just before the sales rush … yet … just as the man who bet his life savings on red … whose unbridled joy as the ball settled safely into red … turned to soul crushing defeat when the ball suddenly and mysteriously popped out into black at the very last second … so went our range of emotions as we began to try to display our product using these particular standard gridwall hooks …Did they shrink in the wash ? Or is there something more insidious at work here ?? Are they pawning off a bad batch on unsuspecting hopefuls such as me … seeing what will stick ??Did I fall asleep last night and wake up in an alternate future ? One where gridwall sizing has passed me by ??Oh woe of woes … my sadness borders on overwhelming .. having tried .. and failed .. bc ultimately this is on me .. the buck stops here .. I am responsible for who I trust and it was my decision to trust that these standard size gridwall hooks would actually fit a standard size piece of gridwall …I search for the positives .. and I do find the glint of a smile in how strong I felt when I tried to make these standard size gridwall hooks fit on a standard size piece of gridwall … only to watch them easily bend into twisted metal shadows of their former 1/100 of a millimeter from glorious selves … for that I am thankful …

These hooks look great. The finish looks good and they are all the same shape.They do fit my standard grid wall but they are hard to get them over the bottom to level them out. They will go after a struggle but then they are hard to get off. They are just a tiny little bit too tight to work for us. Last thing I want to do when at a show is fight putting the displays together. I might just cut that lower part off of these and use them at intersections.These hooks would be fine for static retail displays where it is seldom changed but for doing shows and tearing the stuff down after every show they just don’t work for us.
