We have had 3 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras for over a year now and they reach about 200 feet from our house with the regular sync module. I decided to purchase two more with the XR Sync Module to see if they would work at the distances advertised. I have to say I’m blown away by their performance on XR+. They are well worth it for us even with XR+ having a saver option as the only selectable video quality and no use of the microphones. I installed one at our gate which is 532’ from our house where the sync module is plugged in and one at our barn which is 295’ away through a lot of trees. They were super easy to install. There is a XR option that allows standard HD video quality but ours had to be on the XR+ option to connect at the distance I placed them but they still show 2 bars of connectivity to the sync module so I could probably go even further with them if I needed to.Both cameras pick up motion well both day and night and the video quality is pretty good for being in saver mode. I still can’t believe they work so far away and it’s nice to have extra security on our acreage. Now I know when I have packages or mail delivered or if something is in our barn that shouldn’t be such as coyotes or bobcats. I’m always checking them and the batteries are still going strong. I wanted to purchase 2 more cameras with the XR module but there was a limit of one purchase because of the Prime Day deal. I will definitely be purchasing them again next year because there are other spots I’d like to put cameras up that are further away than the regular sync module can handle.I’ll attach pictures to show how far they are from our house and some of the night and day image quality. I used the measure tool on Google Earth for measurements. I highly recommend them!

Setting up the sync unit along with the cameras seemed relatively easy. It's not as nice as an Apple experience, and will take a small amount of patience, but overall it's not too bad. The mounting the cameras was straight forward. The use of batteries seemed helpful - just pop in the batteries and away you go.I didn't test push the limits on the distance for the XR sync, but I would say the furthest camera is about at 50 ft and that wasn't an issue. The people only notification was a nice surprise and has eliminated some the trees blowing in the wind, etc.Nice to have in future models:1. Facial recognition with designating my face and my wife's face as known and non-triggering of the video camera.2. Web access to the videos stored in the cloud, not just the app. (I could program this up in no time!)3. A simple physical on/off switch for those moments that you just want them off.

Very disappointed in the range promised in Xr+ mode. Actually went back to original sync module that reached out much farther than the xr sync module. Very over rated and only works for 2 cameras. Love my blink systems and I have 5 of them but XR does not give you longer range even if you only use it for 2 cameras. I tested it with same cameras in same location and 2 less bars on camera connection. Dont buy an XR sync module.UPDATE UPDATE:Without any prodding on my part I got a call from Blink customer service and they asked if they could help me. Over the next few days they did everything they could to make the camera work. Many follow-ups without asking to make sure it was fully tested. When they determined the sync Module was bad they quickly sent me a new one. I changed it out and WOW I am good to go. Service like this is so hard to find in todays world. Blink/Bolo really came thru. Therefore yes I got a bad sync module but boy did I get great service and they took care of me. Granted my review got it started but they took the time to read it and I think they would have worked with me regardless if I had just pursued that channel first. Getting the extra range I thought I bought and I am a satisfied customer. Only thing I could add is that only 2 cameras can be used for the extra range. Still can have 10 cameras but only two that reach out and touch. Thank you Blink and Thank You Bolo.
