But when I say I love it, I mean I love it as much as you can a product made from sea moss. In other words, it has a bit of a slimy texture because it's sea moss that has been whipped into a gel. There's no way to eliminate that texture BUT this sea moss gel does a better job than any others I've tried. The same goes for the taste. The mango pineapple flavor is delicious and does an excellent job of covering up the natural taste of sea moss, which if you've never tried it, smells and tastes like a fish aquarium in my opinion. This sea moss gel is so good, I just eat my daily serving right out of the jar. And I love all the nutrients I'm getting. I really wish the jar was bigger! That being said, this is a great “starter” size if you've never tried sea moss gel before and want to see if you like it. Combine that with the great flavor and smooth, pudding-like texture and this is an excellent sea moss gel!

I'm trying to get into eating more sea moss since it's supposed to be good for you.This sea moss does not taste horrible but does have a unique taste to it. I like eating it at room temperature as opposed to eating it cold right out of the refrigerator.I'm finding that this sea moss is easy to mask in regular jelly. I've started to add this sea moss to my jelly that I place on my toast for a healthier breakfast or snack during the day.So far so good with this product!

This is my first time trying any sort of sea moss gel, and I have to say, the taste of the sea is definitely.... distinct. It's not fishy, per se, but it definitely reminds me of seafood. The strawberry taste is noticeable, but fairly light, which I believe is because the "sea-like" taste overtakes the strawberry taste. I initially tested the taste by trying a bit on its own, and then spreading some on wheat bread toast.I can't really attest to the health benefits, but it is nice to see that it seems fairly healthy as far as low sodium and low carbs/sugar. Keep in mind that this is only a 8oz container (with 7 servings of 2tbsp each), and the product images make the container look larger than it actually is. I provided a few pictures to get an idea of scale, though I only had a frozen banana and not a fresh one when comparing.This sea moss gel is something to consider if you want to easily have a serving of sea moss while substituting it in place of jam or jelly, but I don't foresee me getting this gel (or any sea moss gel) again anytime soon, simply due to the taste not being my forte (I'm really not a fan of jelly that makes me think I'm having seafood).

I got this because I wanted to try sea moss gel for its health benefits and the added energy boost this specific product offers. I grew up eating, or a least exposed to, all sorts of uncommon seafood and edible seaweed, so I was very interested in trying this. This is an initial review mainly of the flavor and consistency of the product, and will not reflect the effects of its potential energy benefits. As noted on the jar label, it will take at least two months of consistent use to see the full energy-boosting benefits from this product. This cumulative effect was not mentioned anywhere in the item description. I wrongly interpreted the large printed "ENERGY BOOST" on the front label as it being able to provide a quick energy boost when needed.The scent of mango and pineapple is amazing upon opening the jar. The gel is a nice golden yellow in color, very thick like jam and slightly grainy in texture. I can taste the mango and pineapple flavors, mixed in with the earthy, ocean-like flavor typical of seaweed. Mango is my favorite fruit so I like that the mango flavor still comes through. I love that it is not too sweet. I have been taking a plain spoonful of this everyday. Although I like the flavor of this sea moss gel, I feel it requires an acquired taste to enjoy it. Others might find the flavor profile challenging, especially those who don't particularly like briny, ocean-y tastes, although the mango and pineapple do a great job masking the seaweed flavor. One last note, I appreciate that this sea moss gel is organic and made in USA. For the price, this is a good value for its nutritional content and long-term potential health benefits.
