We just purchased our second unit of this “Water Timer for Outdoor Garden Hose,” and we couldn’t be happier—we love it. Our first one endured years of daily outdoor use in Texas, battling blazing summer heat and brisk winter lows, running more than 200 days a year. It finally gave up the ghost, but only after more than enough faithful service.Here’s what stands out about this timer:• Built for extremes: Whether it’s under the scorching Texas sun or freezing cold snaps, this timer held up amazingly—no warps, no malfunctions, just dependable performance for years.• Super simple to set up: Just rotate the dial, press a button or two, and you’re good to go. Setting the clock, choosing watering frequency, duration, and start time is quick and intuitive. Plus, the “Auto” mode takes over the rest—so even when you’re out, your garden stays hydrated .• Rain delay and manual override: The ability to pause watering for rainy stretches or manually override the schedule for extra hydration is a lifesaver—and a practical water saver.• Automatic drip irrigation ready: This timer works seamlessly with soaker hoses or drip systems, making it incredibly versatile for lawns, flower beds, or vegetable patches .• Built to last—but not forever: Our first timer finally stopped working, but only after years of heavy usage. We have an above ground swimming pool that needed to have the liner replaced - That means we had to completely fill an above ground pool starting from empty. One solution was to order water from a pool service (rather expensive) and another was to fill it ourselves. The dilemma is that we have a well, and it wouldn't be wise (or maybe even possible?) to fill it in one continuous flow. I had another timer what was designed for watering lawns, and the shortest wait time between cycle was six hours. This water time solved our problem. The range of time for on/off function and the range of wait in between was programmable to go from 1 minute to a full 24 hours. We set it up to fill for 40 minutes, wait one hour, and repeat. It took a few days, but did the job and saved us hundreds of dollars over the cost of paying for a water truck. The functionality was exactly what I was looking for - It has plenty of versatility. I found it very easy to use - Just rotate the wheel to the different parameters, and use the up/down arrows to adjust the on/off and wait times, hit the OK button to lock in the desired value. It's been outdoors rain or shine since I got it, and the battery compartment remains dry. It's smaller than the one I was using previously, and less noticeable than the other one. There is a manual function that you can tell it to turn the hose on for a particular length of time when it's operating outside it's programmed cycle. When you're done with it, just rotate the dial to "off". Very happy with this time, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's trying to fill or maintain a water level in a pool. It's served me well so far. If that changes, I'll update this review.

This timer worked great. We planted grass seed and needed to make sure the area stayed watered while we were out of town. It was easy to set up and when I need to water my flowers I can unscrew my sprinkler and put the hose where I need it and set the timer. I have a tendency to forget I have the water going so it really helps that it shuts off automatically!!

This was a game changer for my vegtable garden...waters my water automaticly for 20minutesMakes gardening in 100 degree days easy i don't want to stand in the heat waiting for my garden to get watered and I tend to forget about my garden and drown my plants..this is my second one I wore out the first one

I really like this water timer. It’s easy to program and takes the worries away when watering grass and flowers. It’s small sized and threads right onto a regulary outdoor faucet.I may buy another one for my other garden hose.

It does the job
Needed lots of tape to stop leaks, didnt do exactly as i wanted but i set it for manual watering of my sprikler for 30 minutes so i d9nt forget
