This ssd is perfect for my needs as a human who likes and needs technology but also can't be bothered to learn much about it beyond basic use. I know that makes me sound ridiculous, but look, I'm busy with other stuff. I need my technology simple and efficient, and this ssd is exactly that. I didn't have to mess with it endlessly, it gets the job done, and while it's not the fastest drive I've used, it's fast enough that my short attention span doesn't have to contend with any major challenges.It feels durable and appears high quality, it behaves reliably, and the price is awesome for the space and quality. That is exactly what I was going for here, and it's working awesome.I am very likely to purchase this in the future.

This 256GB internal solid state drive is a good upgrade for my old iMac. It's 2.5 inches and uses a fast connection (SATA III) for 6 Gb/s speed, with read speed up to 550 MB/s. It uses new technology (3D NAND). My computer works much faster now after I put this inside. It was easy to install after getting into the device. Storage capacity is accurate. Hopefully it’s durable and will work for long time.

This drive did very well in my tests. Even on the full capacity/error test which completely fills the drive with data and then reads it back, with no time to rest or empty its cache, the write speed only fell as low as 116MB/s, and the read speed taking all of that data back kept a very respectable 306MB/s. In one-off tests, for example the 4k random test which shows how quickly the drive can write/read random data across various sectors, write and read speeds were 40.13MB/s and 39.79MB/s, respectively. When not doing massive data tests that saturate the drive completely, regular read and write speeds gave 461.48MB/s and 456.12MB/s, so definitely good as well. After all of the testing and doing benchmarks I compared the data written volume versus actual NAND written to see how efficiently this managed its pages, and saw 272Gb host writes versus 241Gb NAND writes, meaning that this compressed data well as it worked with it to lower cell wear and improve overall lifespan. This gave excellent performance in every test I put it through, it punches well above its weight in value, giving some more "premium" models a run for their money, and I think it is an excellent choice! 5-stars!

It's a small drive from an unknown company, but so far it seems to work well. I ran CrystalDiskMark and the sequential reads and writes look good for a SATA SDD. I wanted to take it apart to see what type of NAND chips and controller it uses, but there are now screws and the plastic case is fused together.The SSD is completely empty out of the box. There is no partition table or formatted filesystem. So if you are using Windows, you will need to "initialize" it.On Windows 11:1. Open the Start menu, type initialize. Click on "Initialize disks."2. Find the SDD. It will be listed as Rongshu and it will be uninitialized.3. Click initialize. Select MBR or GPT. GPT is a newer format.4. Create a volume (partition.) Choose NTFS or FAT32.This would be a good drive to replace a hard drive on an older computer or for a retro gaming PC.

It isnt the fastest thing you can get, but its exactly as advertised, easy to install and format... dont forget to format it or it may not show up in your folders... No complaints, working great, happy to have a little extra space for my games. Happy with the order.

I use it for network file sharing, and so far, it's working like a charm. It works day and night, so I'll update my review after the first 3 months of use to see if the transfer speed changes over time. This SSD works perfectly in my server. It looks good, and the quality of the materials is also good, so I think it's an excellent SSD, and for the price, it's a great choice.

Sin embargo lo compré hace poco más de 3 años y a un buen precio, lo que quiere decir queseguramente otras características, como buses, velocidad de disco y tal, no son las mejores.Algunos componentes relevantes que han influido en la velocidad de transferencia:1. Disco SSD 2.5' SATA 3 (6 Gbps) - Artículo en cuestión.2. Adaptador para el disco con SATA 3 y USB-C 3.2 (10 Gbps).3. Cable USB-C a USB-C de 10 Gbps.4. Adaptador de USB-C a USB-A de tipo USB 3.2 (10 Gbps).5. Conectado a un adaptador USB-A 3 del ordenador, cuyo USB hub está compartido con otros dispositivos con muy poca transferencia (ratón inalámbrico).6. Disco duro de 3.5 pulgadas con 7200 rpm usando SATA 3.1 (6.0 Gb/s), según smartctl.Desconozco si el sistema de archivos afecta en la velocidad, así que lo pongo para quien más sepa: ambos discos usan ext4.Tenía unos cursos que copiar y he hecho dos pruebas:- 70 directorios con 705 archivos, peso de 16491 MiB: 5:28.51 (casi 5 minutos y medio).- Velocidad de: 50.2 MiBps- 99 directorios con 2633 archivos, peso de 35584 MiB: 13:01.33 (poco más de 13 minutos).- Velocidad de: 45.5 MiBpsLa copia se ha realizado usando el comando cp de Linux, no he usado rsync porque añadiría tiempo debido a la comprobación de errores.Notad que estoy usando deliberadamente las unidades IEC (potencias de 2) en vez de las del Sistema Internacional (potencial de 10). Quien tenga menos conocimientos debe saber que cuando se usa un b (minúscula) se refiere a bits, i cuando se usa un B (mayúscula) se refiere a "bytes" o octetos (1 octeto = 8 bits, por lo tanto 10 Gbps = 1.25 GBps, pero estas velocidades son anunciadas o según la especificación del protocolo, no tengo capacidad para medir la velocidad real, y menos para controlar que los fabricantes hayan usado las unidades IEC o SI correctamente).
Can't fault it (even though I tried)
I wanted to fault this drive, I've tended to avoid 'no-brand' storage media for fear of 'fakes' or lack of performance.Thankfully this drive has proved me wrong - it passed all my tests for being fake and it performed well in speed benchmarks more widely.It comes neat in a box, with a small info leaflet and the drive, it is standard 2.5" SSD drive, and will easily fit any caddy or casement as required, 256GB is a smaller amount of storage, but is probably fine for many people looking to upgrade, or as an additional drive (use with a USB --> SATA adapter for a portable drive with very high performance))I have not run an endurance test, overwriting data hundreds of times, however I have filled the drive a couple of times over and not seen any issues.
Not the largest storage capacity, but still a quick SSD!
With software taking up more and more space these days I was looking for a new SSD to expand the drive space on my Windows 10 PC. When I saw this one, I decided to order it and give it a try. While it’s not the largest drive space-wise, it works well!The SSD arrives in a small cardboard box. The box has an open slit at the back so that you can read some of the info printed on the drive. It has a seal sticker and once you take that off you can slide out the plastic mold that the drive is sitting in. You also get a small instruction manual, but it only has basic info for how to physically install it and is generic.I decided to make mine an external drive so I installed it in an enclosure that I already had. If you’re mounting it inside your PC case, there are four screw holes on the backside of the drive. Once I had it all installed in the enclosure, I plugged it in and it came to life. With this type of drive you need to initialize it and get it formatted through Windows, but once that's done it works great.As far as speeds, it seemed to perform well within the speeds it's rated for. I couldn’t max it out since I was running through USB 3.0 but it was running at the maximum my USB connection could take. There were no issues plugging in and unplugging the drive and everything was nice and quick. While 256GB is a bit small by today’s standards, the space is there.Overall, this is a really great value drive if you’re looking at upgrading from an HDD to an SSD or just want a spare drive for storage. I can recommend it!

Installation simple et rapide de ce SSD RONGSHU 256Go. J'ai immédiatement senti la différence au démarrage de mon ordinateur et lors du lancement de mes applications. Les débits annoncés (550/500 MB/s en lecture/écriture) semblent bien présents, les transferts de fichiers sont beaucoup plus rapides qu'avec mon ancien disque dur mécanique.J'apprécie particulièrement le silence de fonctionnement et la faible consommation électrique. La durabilité annoncée grâce à la technologie 3D NAND TLC est un vrai plus pour la tranquillité d'esprit. 👍Petit bémol : il faut prévoir un câble SATA car il n'est pas inclus. 😉En résumé, un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour donner une seconde jeunesse à votre ordinateur !

While 256GB is a bit small by today’s standards, the space is there.Overall, this is a really great value drive if you’re looking at upgrading from an HDD to an SSD or just want a spare drive for storage. I can recommend it!

Installation simple et rapide de ce SSD RONGSHU 256Go. J'ai immédiatement senti la différence au démarrage de mon ordinateur et lors du lancement de mes applications. Les débits annoncés (550/500 MB/s en lecture/écriture) semblent bien présents, les transferts de fichiers sont beaucoup plus rapides qu'avec mon ancien disque dur mécanique.J'apprécie particulièrement le silence de fonctionnement et la faible consommation électrique. La durabilité annoncée grâce à la technologie 3D NAND TLC est un vrai plus pour la tranquillité d'esprit. 👍Petit bémol : il faut prévoir un câble SATA car il n'est pas inclus. 😉En résumé, un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour donner une seconde jeunesse à votre ordinateur !

in Herzliches Hallo,256GB SATA SSD 2.5'' Interne SSD Festplatte, 2,5 Zoll SATA III 6 Gb/s, 550MB/s Lesen, 500MB/s Schreiben 3D NAND Internes SSD, Upgrade Laptop PC und Desktops Speicher und Storage (RS550)...Verarbeitung ist hier gut inkl. der Verwendeten Materialien.Eine Interne 2.5 Zoll SSD,mit SATA III 6GB/s Interne bis zu 550MB/s Lesen und 500MB/s Schreiben, sehr schön.Ob dies nun so genau stimmt bis zu 550MB/s beim Lesen und 500MB/s Schreiben, kann ich Euch leider nicht Übermittelt…Denke mal Jeder User hat ja da so seine Marke, geht mir nicht anderes aber es ist auch gut mal was Neues zu Probieren.Hatte sonst immer große Enttäuschungen erlebt, Billige Chips, entweder liesen Sie sich nicht Formatieren oder/und waren so Langsam da ist ja eine Diskette schneller, kein Witz, dies ist leider Wahr.Nun aber zu dieser SSD:Bis jetzt tut Sie was Sie soll und dies tut Sie Recht gut.Schreibe nun keine Lese/Schreib DatenSpeed hier, nehme es da nicht so genau, dass diese eh nur Spitzenwerte sind bei kleineren Datenübertragungen, Sie ist für mich schnell genug.Mein Test war gut und diese Befindet sich nun in meinen Zweiten System wo Proxmox drauf Läuft und Dient als VM-Platte. Da macht Sie Ihren Job Recht gut, es gab bis jetzt noch keine Fehler auch läuft dies hin und wieder im 24h Betrieb ohne Ausfall.So eine SSD ist sehr Nützlich und sehr schnell, ob nun Intern oder Extern, die Einsatzmöglichkeiten sind sehr Groß…Seine Daten sollte Jeder aber extra nochmals sichern versteht sich!Für weitere Details, siehe bitte Beschreibung, Danke!Bilder und Beschreibung stimmen hier Überein!Preis/Leistung ist Recht gut!Alles andere wird sich Zeigen mit der Zeit oder auch nicht.Was ist den Heutzutage schon Sicher, nix, leider ist es mir auch schon mehrfach passiert, dass eine SSD Abschmiert, Sie fallen wohl heutzutage nur noch vom Band, ja auch von meiner Marke ist eine SSD nach sehr kurzer Zeit Abgeschmiert.Es kann alles mal passieren, drum Rate ich Jeden Backup, Backup, ja es macht Arbeit und kostet Speicherplatz aber es sind Eure Daten!Es ist eine Recht gute und günstige SSD.Bis jetzt bin ich sehr Zufrieden mit dieser SSD, vielen Dank an den Hersteller, hoffe Sie hält Recht Lange!Mit netten GrußSven H.
