It's just the right size to go with a cup of afternoon coffee or tea, and it also makes a nice little, informal gift.

As I've begun to do with food items, I'm letting you know that these come to $20/pound. I'm not having that price affect my review.The most important thing to understand about these cakes is that they are more like sweet breads. That's a good thing. Although a heavy, extremely moist cake hits the spot sometimes, these are lighter, with more subtle flavors, and I liked that a lot. They tasted fresh, with the raisins in one variety being plump and refreshing, rather than shrunken. They'd be good with either fruit or cheese.

If you've had panettone cakes before these are pretty much the same deal - comes with two classic and two chocolate chip flavors. The cakes are very small and individually packaged, with a cute "bow" design print on the top that makes them look even more gift-able. They taste light and somewhat buttery, goes best with a hot drink. Would recommend
