These cheap replacements are supposed to be stainless. They started rusting after the first time I used my grill. Choose some other brand or supplier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect drop-in replacement, better than the original brand
These flavorizer bars are nice and heavy, they appear to be a good thick quality steel with a great porcelain coating. The original bars lasted a few years before developing holes and rusting through, I had replaced them with some generic thin cheapo things from a hardware store and they also only lasted a few seasons. Dropping in these superior replacements was a breeze, they fit perfectly and have been working great - deliberately dispersing any smoke from droppings as designed over a larger surface area to release the flavor back up into your food as well as providing a more regulated dispersal of heat without any hot spots. When the time comes to replace these again in the future, I will definitely re-purchase.
