I just sold my house that is 100 years old and was always humid inside. I’m moving into a temporary rental where the owner said I should get a dehumidifier because it will help with the heat. The apartment is in a warehouse building that is insulated but I’m not sure the walls of the apartment are.I turned this dehumidify on yesterday at about 5PM and this is how much water was collected at around 4PM today. It’s quiet and efficient. I can’t really compare it to any other machines because I’ve never had one before but it’s clearly doing its job. It’s lightweight and it made a clear difference in the apartment. Now this is a smaller machine but the space I’m moving into is also very small, just a kitchen and living room with only a half wall dividing the space. This was a good size for me and the air felt a lot better after using it.The only interesting fact was that you couldn’t plug it in and turn it on until after it sat upright for 24 hours. I had no issues with it getting banged up in delivery and followed the instructions, just thought it was interesting but also it could be typical! I’ll be buying multiple of these or big ones in my next house as I plan to be in New Orleans in an old home again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little & quiet dehumidifier for a small room!
Very impressed with this little guy! Handles a small basement well and it runs very quiet.Pros- Small and compact size- Nearly silent operation. Can't hear it over the room floor noise level- Can handle a small room and improves the air quality- Water capacity is decent, easy to dump- Removable filter that's easy to cleanCons- Wish the controls were a little bigger and easier to use, but honestly once you set it once you don't really need to change any settings later on
5.0 out of 5 stars Work great
Moisture-free, my closet smelled a lot of damp, I bought this dehumidifier mainly for this reason. I couldn't believe the effectiveness and the change in the smell of my closet, it no longer smells musty. You can't imagine how happy I am, my clothes don't smell wet anymore, my allergy also improved a lot. I love that I can schedule the hours I want.
5.0 out of 5 stars Saved My Childhood Keepsakes from the Florida Humidity
My parents’ house has a room that’s basically a time capsule of my childhood—but it’s also the most humid room ever, and I’ve been so worried about mold or damage. I got this 1500 sq. ft. dehumidifier and honestly, I’m impressed. It’s been running consistently and the whole space feels noticeably drier. The air is less heavy, my items feel safe, and even my mom commented that it smells better in there now. I can finally stop stressing about my old photo albums and keepsakes.
1.0 out of 5 stars It puts out some water if you don't expect much.
First of all, this unit is SMALL. I went back and double-checked the posting for it, and I still couldn't find any physical dimensions until I finally clicked though everything clickable, (if I'd been able to find it before--I'd never have bought it) but anyway, the pics make it LOOK like a full-sized unit. When I saw the box after delivery, I was disappointed, but it was even in ANOTHER box with Styrofoam and bubble wrap, so it was smaller still. Compared to my failed standard dehumidifier, I'd call this one a 'miniature unit' But I thought this might have some new technology that might make it as efficient as my older one, so I thought I'd give it a chance----it DID say it'd collect 21 pints in 24 hours, but LOOK CLOSELY!!! That's in 95 degrees at 95% relative humidity; (is your home that hot and humid?) in other words almost a steam room environment. After following the included instructions, I put this in my unfinished, damp half-basement which had around 70% humidity due to my old unit crapping out last week. It didn't deliver any water until after about an hour had passed, even though the fan and compressor were both working the entire time. Even then, the water was so slow, that this thing ran continuously for 5 1/2 hours and put out slightly less than 3/4 cup (my old unit would drip a couple drops a second and would have probably collected a half gallon in the same time period. I put in a considerable amount of time on Bolo, but still can't find it stated that the unit was made in China (which it is). Returned.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet effective dehumidifier
I plugged this in for my basement. It began working immediately. It’s nice and quiet which is good. The next day I checked it and it shut itself off bec the water tank was full. The water tank is easy to empty. It slides out nicely and has a cover on it so the water doesn’t spill as you carry it to empty it. The unit is compact and lightweight. The wheels on it help you roll it wherever you need. I’ve noticed the basement feels less humid now that this is running.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy setup
I recently purchased a home dehumidifier to help with the humidity in my basement, and it’s been a game-changer. The unit effectively removes excess moisture, reducing musty smells and preventing mold growth. It’s easy to use, with clear digital controls and an automatic shutoff when the tank is full. The option for continuous drainage means I don’t have to worry about emptying the water frequently. It runs quietly enough not to disturb daily activities, and the Energy Star rating helps keep electricity costs reasonable. Overall, it’s a reliable appliance that improved my home’s comfort and air quality significantly. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with dampness or high humidity indoors.
5.0 out of 5 stars Yep, just what I needed.
Yep, this is just what I needed. I've been having a problem with my basement - it's got a heavy plastic coating over dirt with air-vents, but it still has some moisture in the air and has a constant smell. This went in easy and does the trick. I love the automatic settings and the display. Being able to set it and forget it is awesome. I let it get to the right level of dryness and then it stops and waits for it to get humid enough and then it starts up again and keeps things nice and dry. The controls make this a really good dehumidifier. Yep, just what I needed.
